I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is December 25. It is Christmas Day. Today, John 1:1-14 was most likely read in churches holding services today. And here is hoping that everyone reading this has had a Merry Christmas.

I agree with everything you've said about the deity of Christ etc...except for the xmas thing...this is a pagan observation started around 335A.D. through the Roman emperor Constantine who basically in a nutshell amalgamated the festival of Saturnalia with the Christians...the Romans worshipped the god Saturn and revered the sun NOT The Son....Yeshua was not born on or around Dec. 25th...this is the winter equinox...waiting for the regeneration of the sun when the days would start getting longer...Jesus was born about 6 months after his cousin John the Baptist who was born in late March early April...go forward 6 months, that would make the birth of Jesus in late September early October...it's cold in Bethlehem in the winter and the shepherd's would not have been outside tending the sheep (they where tending the sheep that where used in sacrificing...interesting)...also the Romans would not have called for a census in the winter when people travelled by mule or foot...so many man made traditions based on folklore, lies and warm fuzzy feelings...I wouldn't observe xmas, easter (Ishtar, the queen of heaven) or new years (why would you celebrate the beginning of a new year in the dead of winter???) the Hebrew new year starts in the spring...doesn't that make more sense? spring, rebirth...all of these are RC traditions...and the wise men (there where more than 3) found Jesus with the guidance of the "star" (angel??) when Jesus was living in a house and he was a toddler, probably close to 2 years old...we have been taught so many lies and we don't want to give them up because they are familiar to us and make us comfortable and warm and fuzzy... What we should be observing instead of xmas are God's Feast days...Leviticus 23...I am wanting to learn these myself because they tell a story and herald the return of Yeshua our Messiah...the first spring feasts have been fulfilled and now there are 3 fall feasts left...the Feast of Trumpets I believe is the last one...the heralding of the return of Jesus with a great trumpet blast... We are told not to follow the traditions of man...it's hard to do in this fleshly demonic world...we all have to pray for wisdom, discernment and courage...God bless all

So God is the word. The word is spiritual. To learn+read the word means your spiritual self is becoming one with Gods and being transformed anew. Our spirit dwells in the body(flesh) So the "word becoming flesh" means John(who understand the word) is testifying to the world as a spirit dwelling in his flesh,,? Have I got??

not anything made that was made. Correct. And the beast was and is not and will be. Thus. Things are created that weren't and will be. the Lord, the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit will make what will be made and it will be under the trinity when it will be made even though it was and is not.. thus the son hasn't seen the Father as well the Son cannot make the Father, but did He ask that the Holy Spirit would come in the flesh and say he would return. Thus eccl. 3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. 15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. And as I have said about the trinity: I believe that the supernatural aspect is why Islam believes that El is nothing you can imagine., and says not trinity. It isn't that Sharia is perfect because it isn't that muslims are perfect but to say that it wasn't Gabriel.. and there is a misunderstanding.. but that doesn't mean that everything isn't working how it should. Take for example Psalm 18 18:1 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. ... 24 Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. 25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; 26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.

What Beginning? Are you confusing the Genesis account for John's prologue? Luke 1:1 Since [as is well known] many have undertaken to compile an orderly account of the things which have been fulfilled among us [by God], 2 exactly as they were handed down to us by those [with personal experience] who from the beginning [of Christ’s ministry] were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word [that is, of the teaching concerning salvation through faith in Christ], 3 it seemed fitting for [a]me as well, [and so I have decided] after having carefully searched out and investigated all the events accurately, from the very beginning, "The word was God" is not stating that Jesus is God. The Word proclaimed through Jesus was the declaration of God the Father Himself - "the Word was God." No one has ever seen God but John tells us that Jesus came so that we might have understanding of the Father and so that we might know the Father, the only true God (cf. 17:3; 1 John 5:20). John's words, "the Word was God" refer to the fact that the Word proclaimed by Jesus revealed God the Father Himself to us.

Xmas is pagan and as Yahshua said; For false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Jesus said ; take heed that no one deceives you. Where does it mention so called christmaz in the Bible. And the word in the greek is not capitalized. The word is the spoken thought of the Father. Whereby the Father spoke everything into existance. The word became flesh. The Father is speaking thru his Son. And furthermore John's narrative is speaking about the new creation. Which the Father has purposed through his only begotten son in Yahshua Messiah. John 14:10 Do you not believe that l am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that l speak to you l do not speak on my own authority; but the Father who dwells in me does the works. Jesus is the Son of God, Son of Man, Son of David.. the word became flesh. Word is the spoken thoughts of the Father. That's why Yahshua said, l am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me. And as John 1:18 states; no one has seen God at anytime, the only begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father. He has declared Him. And as Paul writes 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 For even if there are so called gods, whether in heaven or on earth. As there are many gods and many lords. Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things and we for Him. And one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

You miss something of what gets the Muslims so excited about. Ahmed Deedat lays out every thing that is wrong with the Lucan version of the immaculate conception: "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee ... and that which shall be born shall be the Son of God." It sounds like a three-way between two men and a 14 y.o. girl 🤮 The Islamic version is so much more immaculate! "God said 'Be', and it was." See? The Word made flesh. Back to Luke. Does Mary hang around in Nazareth? Nope. She immediately takes off for her cousin Elizabeth's house just down the street in Judaea, leaving no time for the Holy Ghost to come upon her or the power of the Most High to overshadow her, and so God says "Be", and it is!
