Thank God for abolishing the Law. I have read the law and still do. There is no way I could keep it. I like how the New Covenant gives us entrance to God's presence. I would be so lost if I had to wait a year for the national repentance and burnt offerings, or if I had to bring sacrifices for other sins throughout the year. Under the law, I would not be able to walk in righteousness, the righteousness of Christ and my flock and birds would soon be all gone up in smoke in sacrifices, and I wouldn't have anything left to sacrifice. Then I would be in despair. Thank you Father for making a new way that pleases you!

The theology of antinomians-those who say things like "we're not under the law" and "the law is abolished because of grace"-is a rather perplexing thing. First of all, those who hold to such theology are not even consistent with it. They shout about "not being under the law" when you talk about things like the food laws, The Sabbath, or the Feasts, but when it comes to accepted standards of religious cultural holiness like murder, sexual sins, lying, and stealing The Torah standards are somehow still binding. More fascinating than this mixed message, however, is the profession of biblical blessings that antinomian Christians will profess over their life. One of the most popular portions of Scripture I have heard Christians claim over their life is from Deuteronomy 28 where it talks about being blessed in the city and blessed in the field, blessed coming in and blessed going out, being the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. Of course, those who profess this over their lives-especially those who openly claim they are "not under the law"-conveniently leave out Deuteronomy 28:1-3 where it says these blessings are for those who obey Torah's commandments and they seem to totally ignore the even longer list of curses starting in verse 15 that apply to those who neglect The Torah. Just like every biblical commandment traces back to The Torah, every biblical blessing also traces back to The Torah. If you claim that you are "not under the law" or that any commandment is now abolished because of grace, what right do you have to blessings that originate "under the law" either? Here's a Bible fact, like it or not... Those who don't keep Torah are under a curse. You might not see it. You might think you are blessed because you live a decent life. But Scripture is quite clear that those who do not keep Torah are under a curse. If you want to be blessed, you have to obey The Bible. That's just how it is. ~Blessings and Shalom~

@@auntieanna absolutely. I honestly have tried for a long time to see it the way more of the mainstream denominations see it, but I just can't take that leap into trusting the traditions. There's nothing in scripture that explicitly condemns these things, and Christ Himself has clearly said He never came to do away with them. So I think we should keep commemorating them. They are more rich with meaning than Christmas and even Easter I would say. Because of how they tie in to every aspect of His ministry and what He accomplished for us. Before this passage, Paul makes the point that Gentiles, through Messiah's work, have become full members of God's people, Israel. They were "at one time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise" (Eph 2:12) but now have been "brought near by the blood of Christ" (Eph 2:13). Then Paul states that what divided Jewish and Gentiles believers has been removed; this is where we encounter a commonly misunderstood passage Ephesians 2:14-15 Some argue that Paul is saying that God's Law was a dividing wall between Jews and Gentiles. That is, since some of the commandments contained in God's Law set believers apart from the world, Jesus/Yeshua abolished them so that Jews and Gentiles can be united. But does that interpretation make any sense? Three points demonstrate that it doesn't. First, aren't Christians both Jews and Gentiles supposed to be set apart (holy) and different from the world? Doesn't Peter instruct believers to be "holy in all your conduct," appealing to the Torah as the basis for this command (1 Peter 1:15-16)? Doesn't Paul say that God "chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless" in Ephesians 1:4? God's Law is the standard for these calls to holiness throughout the New Testament. This isn't a division between Jewish and Gentiles believers; it's division between believers and the world. Nevertheless, God's standard of holiness cannot be abolished if believers are to be holy. Second, if Ephesians 2:14-15 is saying that Jesus/Yeshua abolished God's Law, then it contradicts Jesus/Yeshua's own words in Matthew 5:17 so if we accept the traditional interpretation, then we have Paul directly contradicting Jesus/Yeshua. Third, God's Law contains nothing that creates a dividing wall between Jewish and Gentiles believers. The promise of Abraham always contained the inclusion of Gentiles (Genesis 12:3). Israel's obedience to God's Laws was to show the Gentiles how good and wise the commandments are (Deuteronomy 4:6-8). Throughout all the Torah, the strangers who choose to follow the God of Israel are specifically called to obey the same commandments given to native Israelites (Exodus 12:19;20:10; Leviticus 16:29; Numbers 9:14;15:15; Deuteronomy 16:11, 14). With the same law for all, there can be no cause for division between Jewish and Gentile believers. With that in mind, what was abolished in Ephesians 2:14-15 cannot be referring to God's Law (Torah). What, then, was the "law of commandments expressed in ordinances" in the greek in the new testament the word dogma was used to describe Caesar's decrees (Luke 2:1, Acts 17:7) and once to refer to the apostolic decree established at the Jerusalem council (Acts 16:4). Throughout both the septuagint and new testament, the word dogma is used almost every time to "denote man-made decrees", the only exception is Colossians 2:14 where God decreed the punishment of the Law upon sinners. Dogma is never used to describe the commandments of God in the Torah. We then can conclude that Paul was referring to man made laws of the Jewish religious leaders of the day which where made to exclude Gentiles, like we observe in Acts 10. Peter was shown a vision intended to teach him that he must consider it unlawful to associate with Gentiles, nevertheless NOTHING in God's Law forbids Jews from associating with Gentiles this was a common first century mad made law or dogma That being said I pray all of you have an amazing Sabbath, Shabbat shalom brethren

The Book of Hebrews clears this matter up in its entirety. It is the Torah law that was abolished and Jesus was/is the final sacrifice.
@enriquepalomares10613 жыл бұрын
@@BloodCovenant Dear brother, do not ignore the clear teaching in Hebrews, it is explained in the book Hebrews 9:1-7 this passage is one of the most important regarding the transition between the Old and New testament; it chronicles the OT sacrificial systems that are suspended (not abolished) in the NT. It is significant that Yahweh's moral laws and days of worship are nowhere mentioned as being changed or ended. The death of Jesus our Messiah and transition of to the Melchizedek priesthood only put aside those commands that were connected with the sacrificial system under the Levitical priesthood, for it is written in Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah that when Messiah returns He will continue the feasts as the Torah instructs

Galatians 3 (KJV) - 24: Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25: But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 4) who inherit through the law ? No one. Romans 4 (KJV) - 13: For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 5) who bear fruit by law? No one ! Romans 7 (KJV) - 4: Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 6) who served to God by the law ? No one! Romans 7 (KJV) - 6: But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Galatians 2 (KJV) - 17: But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. 18: For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 7) who is made alive by the law ? No one. Romans 7 (KJV) - 9: For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 8) who is made alive with out the law ? Every believer. Galatians 2 (KJV) - 19: For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Who is justified with out law? Romans 10 (KJV) - 4: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 3 (KJV) - 28: Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. But what does this mean ? Is there Any one can help here? Matthew 5 (KJV) - 17: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18: For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Romans 3 (KJV) - 31: Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

You made the point in part 2 concerning Peter saying it was unlawful to go in and eat with Gentiles. That “law” is not found in the Old Testament. Neither is there a law that teaches not to associate with Gentiles. There is a law not to associate with Canaanites and their Kin. Also Paul doesn’t say abolishing the law of Gods commandments. Just consider it. And also our Messiahs own works. Think not, think not, think not that I am come to abolish the law.

"“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." ~ Jesus (Mathew 5:17-19). Jesus did *_not_* abolish the Law, He abolished the Enmity. "For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups one and broke down the dividing wall of the partition *_by abolishing in His flesh the enmity,_* the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might create the two into one new man, making peace, 16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having in Himself put to death the enmity." The Law condemned us, but Christ took our place, "so that by the grace of God He might taste death for every man." He did not destroy the Law, "He destroy[ed] the works of the devil." And "Put His] Law into [our] minds, and [wrote] them on [our] hearts," "so that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." "Do we then abolish the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law."

I think the dividing wall is the law of commandments contained in ordinances which maybe pertaining to the sabbaths or feasts of the Lord(Leviticus 23) and to the ordinances of divine service(Hebrews 9). Because the sabbaths(feasts) is the sign between God and Israel, i think it is abolished by the body and blood of Christ so that both Jews and Gentiles can be called the people of God or children of God. The ordinance of divine services are also abolished which i think is the shadow of good things to come or the shadow Christ. Both ordinances of feasts and of divine services are now abolished by the body and blood of Christ to make unity between Jews and Gentiles and also between God.😊

That dividing wall was the mosaic covenant… That law that was added 430 years after Abraham. It was added over and above gods pre-existing moral law. The moral law stands forever. If Christ had abolish the moral law we wouldn’t be able to sin. Because by definition sin is the transgression of law

To state that the law/commandments/prophets were done away with is blasphemy. It’s calling God a liar. “I will not violate my covenant or alter the word that went forth from my lips.” “6 “For (A)I the Lord do not change; (B)therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.” “8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” “For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” THIS is the renewed covenant, Jesus did not come to abolish the law as he clearly states. The Torah (law) is instructions on how to live righteously. “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” “Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.” “The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;” Tell me why Christians read Matthew 5:7 as “think not that I come to abolish the law, or the prophets, I am not come to destroy but to abolish...” That makes no sense. Even Strong’s concordance says you’re interpreting fulfill wrong and reading Paul incorrectly. “1. to make full, to fill, to fill up: τήν σαγηνην, passive, Matthew 13:48; equivalent to "to fill to the full, πᾶσαν χρείαν, Philippians 4:19; to cause to abound, to furnish or supply liberally: πεπλήρωμαι, I abound, I am liberally supplied, namely, with what is necessary for subsistence, Philippians 4:18; Hebraistically,” Stop preaching tradition and heresy by placing Paul against the Messiah. You’re making the same false witness that the Pharisees did that he was teaching against Moses. It’s the same false witness used against Stephen as well. Matthew 23: “Then Jesus (A)said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 (B)“The scribes and the Pharisees (C)sit on Moses' seat, 3 so do and observe whatever they tell you, (D)but not the works they do. (E)For they preach, but do not practice. 4 (F)They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear,[a] and lay them on people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger.” Jesus says to do everything they say when they read from the Torah. He was railing against the rabbinical oral traditions because they added to the Torah. When he says “it is written” he refers to the Torah, because he is the Torah made flesh. When he said “you have heard” he is referring to the oral law. Jews add to, Christians take away (abolish) from the Torah. Step away from this thinking because it is blinding and causes inconsistencies that are not in scripture.

What a blasphemy! May God forgive you and people who think God is abolishing anything. Abolishing here means paid the penalty for breaking the law therefore releasing from being put to death. Just like presidential pardon of the criminal except it has eternal nature. The law is eternal and Jesus lived by it just as we should. But by Grace we granted pardon just like on the day of Yom Kippur the sins are transferred to the sacrificial animal.
