Lot of post-punk, darkwave, Gothic rock has singers like that. Deep, slower voices. Sounds like vampires and witches (females) singing/talking. lol And the deep pounding bass guitars. good dancing music.

Well... There's an add for his "Surf-goth" album at the end of this video. No parodies on the album but you can here the Smiths' influence on most of the songs (and Joy Divison as well !). I could understand that if he wants to be taken seriously as an original artist, he wouldn't want to start things by putting out a whole album of parodies... Unless his plans are to become the next Weird Al Yankovic... But, judging from that "Surf-Goth" EP, I don't think those were his plans.

This is so awesome and the song really sounds like classic Sisters Of Mercy. The chorus is really catchy! :) I met Andrew a few times back in the early 90s in NYC. There was a goth/industrial/ club in the East Village at that time that did some great parties with cool bands; Sugarcubes, Depeche Mode, Psy Furs, and of course, Sisters Of Mercy. On the night that I first met Andrew there he said that he really liked the club except for its name. It was called Mission! Perfect...

I love their first album the most that's for sure, I actually learned a bit of German to be able to sing last verse of Marian, but when it comes to my favourite song by them it's a hard choice,. Their darker songs like Afterhours and Ribbons are great but Driven Like the Snow gotta be my favourite one. Still I love Andrew's every work, especially The Sisterhood.

It's really uncanny how accurate this is. You've got great composing skills! :D Love it! "Marian" is also among my favourite Sisters-songs (one reason is because it is partly sung in German which is my mother tongue, but of course mostly because of its awesome eerie music), albeit maybe not my No. 1. That would go to either "This Corrosion" or "More". I really can't decide which one I like the most. Aside from these obvious choices I also love "Vision Thing" and "Temple Of Love".
