Not in SoCal! Should have been much bigger. No other band compares to them, before or after. Original to the core. The concerts were absolutely crazy fun around Halloween.

My favorite Boingo song. Danny Elfman is such a great composer, and the band is f-ing tight.

@@vladimiralvarez1162 This was about '84 or '85. I was a member of the Oingo Boingo Secret Society and one day a dude called me and asked if I wanted free tix to the show. It was for a college satellite network. There was another audience in a different location, and Berlin played on their end. (Or was it Missing Persons? I forget. I'm old.) Anyway, the two shows were linked by satellite. I carried my Secret Society card in my wallet for more than a decade, but those were the only free tix I ever got.

+Despina838 That seems a bit early to me, as the Boi-ngo album wasn't out until 1987. Though this was the lead single I think, so I suppose it does make sense. Many bands play a single before the full album release.
@yukfoo928317 жыл бұрын
I saw them during this tour when they played the Hollywood Palladium. I remember they opened with this song (not DMP) and I thought it was called "Alone Again." It was a few months at least before the album came out and I finally got the real name and words. I also remember commenting to my friends after the show that Vatos' bass drum pedal either was electronic or was hitting the stage. They all thought I was crazy and didn't believe me. :-) This video is proof! :-) Thanks for posting!
