She's the #1 rival of Regine during the 90's era. Her and Regine can hit and belt out those same notes in one long breathing. But in the mid 90's she migrated to America and married there. This song was difficult to pull off, and that's the way this song was sang by Dianne Reeves if i'm not mistaken, the original artist of this song.

If I remember right, Dessa sang it pretty close to how Diane Reeves sang it. She did add a few runs and added in some growls. The biggest difference was she added a lot of attitude, passion and like you said, energy, in her delivery. I really liked her performance and was amazed how she could keep up the energy through the long song and could keep doing those belts and switch ups from full on chorus down to the calmer verses smoothly. The best part was how much you can see her enjoying singing and having fun with the song, kinda like when Gary V sang "Spain". This didn't feel like a total copy or a karaoke version and I really liked it.

Its clear that you dont know dessa guys. Shes a legend in the Philippines. Shes already an icon infact shes the only singer who can rival regine during 90’s. Her performance with Regine during that era was always like an explosion that Every one is waiting to see and witness.

I think people asking MGN to do research on the artists they’re reacting to should stop. I mean we love them and we continue watching them because of how genuine their reactions are. Reactions that are purely based on the voice they heard and the performance they saw and not on some background checks they did. I think, for most of the singers, age is a factor. When aging their voices somehow change. Dessa is almost the same age as Regine and she is a beast in singing most specifically her younger days. Can't really compare them to younger singers because comparing young with younger and old with older is not plain fair. #JustMyOpinion. But I love your reaction videos. #NoHate

One of the hardest song to perform. It is enjoyable to sing as you can jazz it up BUT it breath-taxing! M-Angel should try this song. Dessa is one of the best!!!

I agree that her falsetto sounded weak but her version of this very complex, hard to sing song was AWESOME. She's a true talent who can rival the best power belters in the Philippines (foreigners even) and she is one of those who can own and/or make a song hers. I'm not so sure but I heard she's not as "healthy" as she used to. Could be the reason why her falsetto's changed. Comparing her voice and now and then, she's still very good. Not as popular as most mainstream singers but her versions and impromptus are so much better. She's a SLAYER! The both of you have very good ears (angel & ovela) and I appreciate that though you guys most of the time have contradicting opinions, you two know what you're saying❤️❤️❤️ kudos

She was considered an underrated divas along with Bituin Escalante, Ana Fegi, and Ella Mae Saison. In terms of belting the high notes she was considered a great rival of Regine Vekasquez. I hope you do research about her background before you do a comment.

I think the reason why some notes got off because of her nasal voice. There's a big difference when you sing from your diaphragm, you know. And I think it's because of her vocal acrobats that made it sounds like or it feels right but it also feels not right. Well I didn't mind it though. It's her style of singing. Still I'm impressed. I enjoyed her performance.👍
