Xur is in the Tower! Today we visit Xur for the first time on the New Destiny Character. Does he have anything worth using? Day 7 of our New Character in Destiny 1 has us grinding light level so we can start the Rise of Iron campaign, so we need to do some Taken King Quests first. Hope you enjoy the Episode!

The SABER strike was one of my favs in D1! When it came up as the Nightfall it could be wicked hard, depending on the modifiers, but it was all the more satisfying when you got it done!

Daniel Johnson Better than fricking Truth? Frick Truth,it’s too OP,not only is it’s Hitbox for Enemies/Enemy Players absolutely THICC it feels like it has auto-tracking Rockets that’s better than a Snipers Auto-aim/AIM-Assistance,so IMO anyone who uses that in Gambit has a smôl pp and not much skill......I really hate D2 Truth

Joseph Crotty for the first 6 months or so after D2 came out, I kept finding myself back in D1. About 3 weeks ago I jumped back into D1 and still find it to be the better game. Strikes, crucible, weapons, exotics, the leveling systems, bounty system, everything was much better. Even year 1 vanilla D1 was a better game than current D2 imo.

I had the same feelings when that Trials message popped up too! I understand Trials, but it's such a shame Iron Banner isn't still in D1. It was sooo good compared to the D2 version.

raid_shadow you did get the occasional stacked team running riot in there, but (in my opinion) pvp in D1 was/is just a more pure, enjoyable experience than in D2. Also the Iron Banner weapons and armour were actually really good and looked amazing in D1, so people looked forward to the event. I couldn’t care less about Iron Banner in D2.

as someone who prefers D2, but only slightly, i see this arguement as null. D1 was fun. D2 was fun. D1 has some fun endgame stuff. D2 has some fun endgame stuff. sure age of triumph was fun and all, but so were so many things in D2. D2 feels slightly more grindy, but i enjoy the grind.

I just like how almost every bit of content in d1 is relevant unlike d2. It also has way more loot incentive than d2. And the best part is bungie didn't bank on fear of missing out in d1 like d2. So all that sweet sexy loot is there to go back too. Not that anyone would because its an old game. But oh man can you imagine.

I love your nostalgia and opinions on Destiny as a whole right now and seeing what you think of the current events in D2 has been super entertaining. It’s good to see another person who misses that indescribable D1 magic. I still don’t know if D2 Forsaken was better than D1 during Rise of Iron or Taken King, but I sure miss those DLC’s. I love watching these vids, they bring me so much nostalgia from destiny 1. My first ever exotic was the zhalo supercell. It was, and forever will be my favorite exotic auto rifle. I remember begging my dad to get me rise of iron for my birthday, he came short so I mowed lawns since my birthday is in the mid summer. I got rise of iron and completed it within the first two days of playing. I have so much respect for destiny 1, and I wish I could find my disc so I could get on my hunter. I had a lot of strange coins

I had totally forgotten about Alak-tul(?). Now i umderstand why those big ass knights we find in D2's ascendant challenges or a few other places are so familiar and effing creepy. Discovering that biss appearing all of a sudden next to about to smash his axe on your head was 😱😱😱, especially for the exotic sword quest when you could not kill him directly... Thank tou so much for this series, looking forwarding to rediscovering Rise of Iron. You are a legend.

I kinda miss having one shader to put on all gear. Being able to have different shaders on each armor was cool in D2 but just pressing a button to have all of it applied was so nice.

Thunderlord was consistently my ace in the hole during iron banner. There were so many times where I was under leveled during the event and thunderlord helped even the playing field and tear through the sweats.

This game still amazes me to this day. I started playing it yesterday again for the first time in like 3-4 Years and never even knew that a Year 3 existed. Everything seems so new and exciting again. However it is extremely frustrating that all my old exotics and raid stuff is worthless now. And i don’t understand why the exotics are at 350 power and not at the highest point like they used to be. I hope I can restore some of my favourites at least :) . (Apologies for my bad English)

Hey, so first off I'm absolutely loving this series. It's bringing back all the best memories and it's just great that you're bringing attention back to the original. That being said, I was wondering if (given that you are on xbox) when you get to raiding level, you would be willing to have me on the team? Ever since D2 I've really wanted to do the old D1 raids especially kings fall as I didn't get the chance to do it again during age of triumph, however none of my friends have ever committed to reinstalling the game and I've found it hard to find anyone else on the internet who will respond.

As a D2 player, who never played D1 its heartbreaking to see that ALL the current content is just a revamp from D1. I thought at least this was something new but it looks like even the rooms just got new textures and went right back into the game. I'm feeling kinda scammed right now, after seeing that the bunkers even had animations when you enter them - the current one doesnt even have that.

one thing i find interesting is that you still are at blue gear at best. In d2 new light i got legendary gear midway through the first campaign. Kinda shows how good d1 was and how borked d2's progression is
