ACTIVISION the company the forces there developers to make the same game over and over and over and over and over until they run out of ideas. Tony Hawk, skylanders, guitar hero, Spider-Man, Call Of Duty(there favorite cash cow,their pride and joy, a newbies game, so simple it easy to make). How many games do these have too many were all glade they lost rights to Tony Hawk now we can get a better game, marvel will get a better game thanks to Insomniac games good track record, skylanders had a decent start but it turn into a yearly franchise. Cod were all sick it very single game is the same just reskin, trying to out do the previous game and even Michael Bay would laugh at them. Bungie is getting treating like shit because destiny could have been the Next true space opera game that set the bar for an epic story.... sigh. Instead what we get is a lazy, boring,repetitive story and gameplay that fans defend to this day. Gameplay is one thing but STORY FOR DESTINY SHOULD COME FIRST NOT last and put on a website. And for fans telling us to: Read the lore, on the wiki, watch a video loser. I tell them: THEN WHY AREN'T U WORKING A BUNGIE or Activision/ then u did work for Bungie what do want a cookie. To be fair, most CEO, CFOs, VPs, etc do not watch videos like this. The same person who can run a game company is the one who can run a shoe company, etc. There's an expectation that these guys like games or know who people like Joe are. What realistically happens is they have media outreach/PR people who tell them what the general response is and how they are trending one way or the other. That same group could easily show Joe punching what could be construed to represent the corporate leadership. Even worse, Bungie are removing planets and campaigns from previous expansions because they aren't making a new game instead. I don't know how you can justify that. I paid like hundreds of dollars for the content they're removing.

Balake that content is being remvoed becuase the game is getting to big like gig wise. That content has been in the game for years and is hardly played so it’s being vaulted to be brought back at a later date. Sunsetting was something that was needed in the previous years of destiny becuase a few weapons have reigned supreme for years. Would you want them to take away all of your loot and progress just to make a new game so that we don’t loose mercury or something. No becuase if they did you would be up in arms about that. Also entire campaigns are able to be replayed you just have to do them in order. You get them from holiday. Piggybacking on the last point makes no sense, it’s a continuous story that’s how it works duh. Ever verse I agree is a problem and is being neutered in September bungie has already said exactly what there doing to it and there taking almost everything out and putting in the game. The main issue is that since greedy corporations have taken over the gaming industry, there is a large, obvious void within most popular games which all indirectly and sometimes directly lead to more ways of getting our money. Of course people will argue "But they're a business, they have to make money somehow!" yet look at popular games from the past that did so well without micro-transactions and DLCs expansions and services to rake in even more money. Crows Descend DLC in general is fucking stupid. It was great when games came out with all content included instead of having to pay extra just to get content that should be included already. If you ask me COD has probably become the worst exhibitor of this with the introduction of COD points, as you could literally spend more than the actual cost of the game only to be rewarded with items that probably make up like 1% of the entire fucking game.

Halo is on its way up, 343 have understood the short falls of Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2 was amazing and ties into the next Halo game. There's hope, 343s main problem is that they believe every playing the game is a huge Halo fan who have read every book, but 343 do what they do for the fans, Bungie on the otherhand who used to be my favourite bunch of people, are lost now.

I cannot give it more than a 2/10, because it is borderline *literally* everything wrong with modern gaming (and frankly mega-corporation mentality as a whole) and should not be rewarded at all because of that. The only redeeming factor is the soundtrack is absolutely brilliant, and the orchestra deserves every bit of respect for how much effort they put into it (which was a hundred-fold more than Activision and Bungie did).

Clayne di' Dio I'm in video game design school and I don't play very many games ( I know a strange contradiction but my focus is art). My issue is that all the kids I'm in school with play these shitty fucking games on the new systems and I am a NES/ SNES generation guy. I would absolutely hate to have to work on a game like this. I'm not saying I am going to get a job working on a "triple-A " title but if this is what that is, then how can we consider "triple - A" titles a good thing? I just worry that all the people I am going to work with are going to want to make shit like this without being able to step back and think outside the box. STUPID MINDLESS KIDS.

There is no grimoire in the game because Bungie themselves have no idea what to do with their 'story'. They can tear off bits and pieces of lore easily to justify DLC when the lore is not written down in-game. They just need to give players random excuses to shoot various things in each DLC. Live service garbage.
