I've noticed a lot of the "Gun is not what I was expecting" takes, from Datto, Jez, and Mr Fruit notably, are people who admit they're not typically the most avid shotgunners. SirD, Frostbolt, and others have said it's very impressive. No shade just something interesting I've noticed.

You know why? Because Bungie hardcapped all shotguns to 9m max. It is useless having all that perks on a gun where it will benefit in nothing. Even Slug shotguns have a cap of 9 or 10 meters, I think. Before Shadowkeep we could have some outliers if they had this perks, where we could see kills from 10 to 11 meters. Not anymore. It's the same problem with most handcannons. That's why Bungie is taking the aggressive arch type out of the normal balance.

I know, right? I have a friend who was top 3% on XBOX 360, and he said that the gun is better now, simply due to the fact that it's not broken, therefore there is 0 risk of a Nerf. It's good, consistent, and reliable, and that's all it needs. Frankly tho, if shotguns WEREN'T nerfed, Felwinter's would easily rack those 10 meter kills again. So, in all possible ways, D2's Felwinter is better.

The Arkborn aren't really what I'd call a plot that needs resolving. They're a species of the Cabal Empire that Calus promised he would leave alone if one of their own joined his ranks as a Shadow. After her death in a failed attempt at killing Ghaul, Calus broke his word, seeing no need to honour the agreement any longer, and captured a number of them for his Menagerie. That's kinda it. The Drifter/Malfeasance plot has wrapped up if you read the lore books for the other Exotic Hand Cannons. The story order is Malfeasance > Last Word > Thorn > Lumina Very long story short, it's revealled that the Drifter was lying all along, and so was Shin. One of the Dredgens' founders, Dredgen Vale, was in fact Shin Malphur, Last Word's wielder, the man who killed Dredgen Yor. The Shadows of Yor were formed to study the legacy of Dredgen Yor, and learn to weaponise the dark. Shin would live a double life, helping the Dredgens to study Hive arcana and weaponry in his "Vale" identity, and gunning down those who strayed too far into the dark as Malphur. Gambit was set up by Shin and Drifter as a way to lure in new recruits. To find Guardians worthy of wielding the dark, but without succumbing to its' corruption. Lumina is the endgame of all this. Dredgen Yor's Rose, the weapon that became Thorn, redeemed, and forged into a tool of the Light. This was Shin's goal, and he's seen it through. Yor's dark legacy has been reclaimed, with "Dredgen" now a badge of honour as opposed to a murderer's title.

I feel like entire Red Legion remnants thing for these past two seasons, and the entire first year of D2, is just filler. It's the stuff a game would have in a side questline to explore where these guys are now. It just doesn't seem like it should be the focus of the story at all anymore, but they insist on shifting the focus onto them. It's annoying.

From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

The shotgun is the better than mindbender though. More consistency and it can 100% map people. If you were expecting it have numerous meters on every other pellet shotgun you just had the wrong expectation. It still reaches the absolute highest point of range on a pellet shotgun

I feel it going from Rasputin killing the iron lords in an act of defense to Rasputin killed them because Felwinter, HIS SON, abandoned him completely changes the narrative (Also I believe that son part is completely new so...maybe I'm wrong but if I'm not emphasis on new)

Also story is ok but... Almighty has been talked about in what... The first 3 weeks of this and now we havent seen or heard anything about it. We "powered up" Rasputin for the past (insert how long this season has been going on) and we have had no updates on the Almighty. It would be cool if we could have seen it from other planets (like Mercury) but there is no sign. The only threat I can see are a bunch of triangle on a monitor that probably will be touch on next season. Or they wont and we will get jebaited again. I think whomever makes these changes needs to get there act together. Or maybe they don't want destiny to succeed.

The bugs are not the only problem. The performance is also getting worse and worse. Last time i played it i barely got to 60 on low while before it did 100-120 fps on max settings and other games perform as normal.

honestly, destiny constantly feels like its walking a tightrope in very windy weather. Sometimes the wind died down (forsaken, taken king) but most of the time it seems like its just about to fall down. Its only matter of time I think

this was a "get by" year for Bungie. they were swamped with buying back the franchise from Activision becoming a self-publisher and implementing cross save all while prepping Shadowkeep which was a solid expansion. This fall we will all be praising Destiny again and then hopefully the seasonal content will be more substantial and fulfilling follow-ups.

One things for sure and that is how well the art team does their job. They are capable of making some of the best landscapes in any game I've ever seen (Dreaming City is by far the best example of this and will always be a benchmark in the art of Destiny). Walking into the last room for Felwinters quest reminded me why I fell in love with Destiny in the first place. Yeah, the quest wasn't particularly exciting but I loved going through the dark abandoned bunker and ending up in that massive server room.

Pro tip aim the barrel at the knees the gun shoots from the "sight" not the barrel, it kills pretty consistently from 8.5 to 9 meters. I've managed to get a kill from about 10m whilst testing with a friend but I only managed to do that once

I’m hoping this is a sign that Bungie will finally be wrapping up all their story lines before the darkness arrives and brings whatever disaster they’re bringing. Just the dreaming city, savathun, the nine, the drifter/vanguard alliance quest, some of which can probably be worked together.

I really hoped we were going to get a cutscene hinting towards Season 11, like the Empyrean Foundation reopening video. If not, at least something similar to Eris interacting with the statue or Osiris's standoff with Rasputin. Anything that matters!! Really hope we get some news on season 11 soon. The fan base is getting restless.

The fact that i didn’t even have to do a single seraph tower event to auto complete the first step is kind of stupid. I didn’t feel like grinding it but was surprised I could let it auto complete to 100% without even taking part in that step is kind of lame

I think the reason the story has been bouncing around so much recently with no real payoff is because they are trying to cobble something content together out of pre-existing recycled and cut content

I’m actually really enjoying it, admittedly I don’t have a great mindbenders (good perks, bad mw and barrel/mag). But I’m actually having a good time with this shotty and I’ve mapped people I was genuinely not expecting to kill. That’s my opinion on it, anyway great vid keep it up👍

I like how most of the comments are about that minor error in the order of quest steps :') Overall, can agree, did feel a bit baited by the Lie thinking it'll be another intriguing secret mission. Hell, I would have been down with fighting some sort of boss to claim the Lie. A final test from Rasputin to see if we're ready for the shotgun. Would also be a fun little way to drop a line like "This is a simulation to see if you're prepared for a mission on the Almighty" sorta thing. Which, of course, would hit both marks of old and current story beats.

I wish we had a combat mission on the almighty before the last mission where we go into Rasputin. Like maybe we implant a little chunk of siva on the Almighty and as we escape, we see it revenged by rasputins siva and it starts to aim toward the pyramid ships. Then just before we enter our ship a bunch of shadows like the ones on the moon appear and warn us that, “we should not have done this”.

The true issue people have with Felwinter’s Lie is that we’re all expecting it to map people like it did in D1. But it’s just like any other shotgun. So we go for crazy shots outside the range and get melted or counter shotgunned.

The Seraph Tower part was bad, but I was alright with the rest of the quest. The shotgun part I just used only shotguns while running Menagerie for something else and then finished it with Last Wish farm. The two missions where you basically walk around and hear some dialogue were too simple and short and I would’ve preferred an animated cutscene rather than thinking I was gonna do something. As far as the story, it would’ve been more interesting if I didn’t already hear it all like a month ago in another video. So basically a bad community grind, a whatever shotgun grind, two quick and uneventful story missions, a legendary weapon I don’t care to use, and some story I already heard before. I’m not gonna get upset with Bungie like other people are, but I’m not too thrilled with this quest. Looking forward to the next Whisper/Outbreak mission though. I can’t imagine they don’t have another one planned, and I’m hoping it follows the pattern and comes this summer.

When I first clicked the quest and got teleported to Sanctuary, I honestly felt some type of excitement for a minute, as my thought was, "And now the hunt begins" I was determined to find this secret without looking at any guides... I searched every inch of the moon before getting a message from my clan, saying it's bugged.. I felt an overwhelming sense of disappointment, not because it was bugged, but because I had some glimmer of excitement for a moment, which I've not had in a minute, in Destiny's current state. Ah well, have a nice day :)

I played D1 back in the day up until Iron Banner, I felt burnt out and didn't want to pay for another have finished game. I just started playing D2 a month ago and bought the Forsaken and the season pass. I have to say that I enjoy the game for what it is and can't wait to explore more of the game. PS Fellwinters lie is amazing in pve

I find that not knowing where the stories going until like... the week before the new season launches is frustrating. If there was even a small teaser image like year 2s roadmap. You could say that keeping everything secret is to avoid spoilers, but without some expectations, interesting twists can't really happen.

Im currently watching this video and hearing Datto's thoughts on it, and crying inside because its currently the best shotgun in the pvp meta and its all you ever see in Iron banner, Trials and just quickplay in general. Its dominating so much so that some people are calling those using Felwinters nonstop "W holding babies." Because thats pretty much all you do in crucible with it.

It one shots folks from 8 meters and sometimes even from 9 if you use the iron sights and aim for the torso or the kneecaps..

I feel like this season was a prologue to Season 11 and the expansion. We know a big event is coming, Zavala doesn't hate Rasputin, SIVA's being teased, a certain new Guardian might show up. I thought we were gonna get some more lore on Exo's and where they came from, but I guess not. This season's story was really about putting the pieces on the board, so to speak. Was there a better way Bungie could've told the story? Probably. But it got the job done, and hopefully next season is better all around.
