Whatever happens in Revenant it just needs to have an actual conclusion. My biggest gripe with Echoes is how after 9 weeks nothing meaningfully changed. Saint ended as he started, Maya ended as she started. You could skip all the story and would miss nothing of any lasting importance. So, what do I want for Revenant? I think Fikrul needs to die, and Crow needs to be the one to do it. Because there’s no way House Light would allow any kind of alliance with the scorn, despite how Crow might feel on that matter. I’m just saying there’s a lot of potential with Crow’s characterization of wanting to save the scorn, and having that come into conflict with Mithraaks and House Light’s feelings on Fikrul.

Yeah I was hoping these episodes would effectively end the storylines of both enemy and ally factions to allow all future expansions and seasons to focus on a new set of enemies and allies. I don’t want to see a new expansion focusing on Caiatl’s 2nd cousin staging a coup or anything involving the preexisting factions making power plays. I guess that’s harder to do with the Vex who have just been a vehicle for plot and Maya who was first introduced. So I am still hopeful Revenant and Heresy could do that.

Now about the whole thing with Mithraxx, possibly dying my personal belief of what might happen is that due to the curse of Nezarec he will die, maybe to stop the curse taking over his body, or simply dying of the curse. But because of his sacrifice the traveler acknowledges him and resurrects him as the kell of kells but he retains his memory due to the darkness that is integrating into the traveler and as we’ve seen with Savathun that the power of darkness can show guardians their past memories like with crow. Maybe if he dies and is resurrected, the traveler could do something like this.

My favorite small detail is since we kill fikrul alot in lore right before hollowed lair went away they made it a gm and added mini screebs for 1 season and now you can spot them in the new revenant trailer. Kind of ironic that the way of light involves the Eliksni involves them going back to their old ways and the way of darkness involves them moving on from the traveler since the light is about forgetting the past and the darkness is about remembering things from the past

I think you can kind of think about it as the house of light can forget and move on from the pain and trauma of the past while the house of salvation is fixated on it and can not forgive or heal by moving on and forgetting

Three things that occur to me while watching this: 1) I could see Eido dying and Mithrax sacrificing himself, darkness curse and all, to restore her memories. Something similar worked for Savathun after all. And if Eramis has a redemption turn, he could choose to do it knowing she would be there to advise Eido. 2) If worm gods are involved, killing them would mainly benefit Xivu Arath. She is the highest ranking Hive god left standing at this point. If the three remaining ones die, she's king of the hill. 3) We have to ask a question Byf didn't, at least I don't recall hearing him mention it. Who is in the Echo? There was a second conciousness inside of Maya's Echo. I don't see why this one would be any different.

Savathun is still around, and Xivu is technically weaker than Savathun, since in Season of the Witch, Eris severed Xivu's connection to her throne world, while Savathun still has her throne world.

@@ZacGames3 Absolutely. But Savathun doesn't have a worm anymore, so she doesn't have to tithe to anyone above her. Xivu, however, is still part of that system. So remove the worm gods from the equation and with or without a throne world she becomes the entity all Hive tithe to. Also, I'm pretty sure she can start a new one with enough power, or take over someone else's.

Just finished the video, and while I haven't been keeping up with the lore lately, I think it would be poetic that Mithrax becomes a guardian. He's had the power he gained from Nezerac remains, which is his connection to Darkness, and now he's hearing the Traveler, which would be his connection to the Light. It would be a similar path that Prismatic brought to the Guardians. Just an idea I had come to mind.

Tomb of Elders (Act 2 Activity Name) is 100% going to be us returning to the prison if elders to reclaim it, and the exotic quest "Kell's Fall" is going to most likely be about us fighting fikrul, killing him, and then locking his totem up in the prison of elders for him to ressurect so uldren may continue trying to reach out to his "child"

Tbh, I think whats interesting and impressive by the narrative team is they've made it so that Mithrax, Eido, and/or Eramis all could make for an interesting and good story if dying and being risen as a guardian and becoming the kell of kells.

Looking forward to Revenant, but its hard to get truly excited when the story is in Episode/Season format. It really has Expansion level potential with all of the background story and lore going in. Surprised you left out the Shadow Legion and Dread being allied with Fikrul to some degree as well. Feels like that could end up a big deal in a later Act. I half suspect if Misraaks dies it will be due to the Shadow Legion/Dread using him to resurrect Nezarec.

If I recall, and I don't know if they got rid of this after all the layoffs and changes. But supposedly they had a vision of a any species class building type thing where you can place any of the alliance factions I guess. Don't recall where I heard that from. Don't know if it's a thing anymore, but if they do die then that is a way to have players have the ability to play as fallen characters.

One small detail about these new Scorn 'species' seen in the newly released trailer is that we now see their eyes, which now glow pinkish-reddish-violet. Unrelated to the coming Episode, I think both Seasons of the Haunted and Plunder could have been better if new Lightbearers were introduced via the seasonal stories (a Cabal in S17; and an Eliksni in S18)

Mithrax reborn a Guardian would be similar to Crow & Uldren, giving Mithrax a new personality with all his bad removed. Fikrul coming back to life without being a Guardian is what i find interesting. Technically the Echo power he has is from the Traveller but most likely because of the Witness influence.

Wouldn't it be cool if a Destiny 3 (I'm aware it's not likely to happen) we could actually choose a race to align with. Lots of new guardian types if the eliksni become guardians too. So choosing between Humanity, Hive, Eliksni, and maybe whomever we meet in Frontiers. Just a thought, that would be really cool imo

I'm guessing we get to know who is going to be the Kell of Kells this go round. Eido: a sacrifice to save Eramis or Mithrax. Mithrax: nezerecs curse takes him but due to the traveler giving out transcendence(light and dark) he retains memory but is still enhanced by the the light. Eramis: saves Eido from Fikrul and becomes the first guardian of the eliksni. Maybe the echo is tied to Riis. Amanda holiday comes back to torture Crow. Sike I'm guessing the last echo goes to Oryxs worm or the worm God aka the Dreadnought.

I think you’re possibly misreading the inclusion of the Worm God model in the lead-up to this expansion. I suspect it’s meant to imply that these were some of the creatures the ancient Slayer Barons killed on Riis, making potions out of their bodies. That would explain both images, why normal Fallen stand before a Worm, and why another shot has gas-like or illusory Worms held in a bottle.

It’s so interesting that Eramis, Eido, and Mithrax all have the possibility to die, and furthermore be resurrected as Guardians. I’m a little more doubtful of the idea that Mithrax would die and be resurrected because that would just be kind of pointless from a narrative standpoint, but Eido and Eramis is where the real potential is. As Byf said, it would be incredible to have Eido as the Kell of Kells, recognized by the Traveler, and the leader of the new generation of Eliksini, and for Eramis it would be an incredible redemption. But, we’ve already kinda seen redemption in resurrection in the form of Crow, it might be repetitive narratively to have Eramis do it again, even if there are some nuances that set her apart. Either way, the death of one of those three is definitely possible. Eido’s story/possible death has the most potential tho, imo.

Episode 1 should have also ended with a transmission stating that a Eliksni spacecraft is being attacked while flying to Earth for space passage and saying that Eliksnis are being mutated or something to kick off Episode 2 from the start.

What I hope to see in the finale: Big fight scene between the heroes and Fikrul. Fikrul mortally wounds Eido. Mithrax and Eramis go absolutely ape crap, embodying their badassery and destroy Fikrul (with the help of the guardian and Crow). Mithrax is also mortally wounded in the fight, but gains possession of the Echo. He uses his 'speaker' powers to infuse the Echo into Eido to save her life, and in the process granting her the power of Light and Dark (being the literal bridge between Mithrax(Light) and Eramis(Dark)). Mithrax passes away, but Eramis is humbled by the experience and becomes a Mentor/Aide to Eido as she takes the mantel of Kell of Kells. That's my fanfic/what I would think would be the most bad ass ending to the episode.

What if the worms we saw are the ones that are dead and they are coming back? Btw have you noticed that Mithrax round laser eye has the same pattern as the wave beam laser from Oryx ship. What if Fikrul is strong enough to corrupt Mithrax and that we have to kill him before he can become the first Eliksni guardian or what if Eido is going to be the first Eliksni guardian.
