I love Hunters. I've played one since D1 - it was only with DIM that I was able to branch out into the other classes and enjoy more than just hunters. That said. It's Warlock's turn to get the trophy this year. Enjoy it. Now, onto the topic of my favorite couple in this game. I have this lingering hope that Osirus find a power in the Darkness that gives him similar immortality that he once had with the light, so that Osirus and Saint can stay together for a long time yet. I'll admit i was one of those people that didn't like when Saint and Osiris were confirmed gay. Not because of prejudice or anything like that, but because it felt like a sudden unnecessary point. However, now with how they are being written it makes them feel more real, especially the tea cup story. Like it feels like the first point in their romantic story together. Bungie most certainly IS woke, no doubt about it. Just look at their very conspicuous, very public opinions on popular woke topics on their website and the Destiny app. And while I definitely agree that pairing Saint and Osiris was initially another bout of virtue signaling, I would now consider it a virtue signal that was actually followed up on in a satisfying way. The message should NEVER come before the narrative, but I guess it can actually work in the right circumstances. A key point here is that no one in the Destiny universe seems to care about same-sex relationships, as if the Golden Age made people stop caring about the labels that the social media of today desperately WANTS us to care about. As good as this relationship is, there's no "villain" of the story berating them for being together. So to say, it's a love story, not a gay love story, if that makes sense.

The sliver lining of what is happening. To see Mithrax/Misraaks become such a close friend to Saint-14. To come comfort him with food during a dark time for Saint. To want Saint to be at least feed and nourished during this time. And coming from a time where Mithrax heard about Saint in nothing but monster stories, to almost fear him. But to see them going from almost hating each other, to worrying about each other. And almost seemingly becoming really good friends. I cant help but smile watching their interactions grow and develop like this.

10:28 damn, i never thought some random game about shooting aliens and defending earth would get me this misty eyed over two characters that i don't spend much time with in game but damn. i only played destiny 1 rarely and was never able to get the DLC and only started playing destiny 2 at forsaken taking a rather long break after shadowkeep so i missed most of the stuff including osiris and saint, only coming back to D2 last Halloween and only getting properly into the lore a couple of months ago. i had known the lore in this game was expansive and amazingly detailed but i didn't think i'd get misty eyed from it

Part of me hopes there is a way for Osiris to get his light back and survive. He’s been too integral to write out of the story. There are lines from Crow in the Helm if you stand next to him, he’ll mention a few interesting things: He wonders if Osiris will remember him when he wakes up And two he says he has been in contact with Misraaks. (Also hes refusing to answer any of Mara Sovs Messages)

No surprise he isn’t answering Mara’s messages. With the hindsight of his past life, and the free will that Crow has to make his own fate now, he’s not going to let her use him again. For all we can speculate, Crow hates Mara, is sad for her that she lost his brother, but mostly wants nothing to do with her. He probably realized from his past life, that Uldren’s life was just a tool Mara used to get what she wanted, and to Crow, she didn’t truly care about Uldren’s wellbeing, and manipulated the course of his entire life, leading up to his death so she could wield Crow as a weapon in the shadow and shape of Uldren. Unfortunately, fate, and the Traveler seemed to have other plans. Mara’s chance to be a true sister is gone- to little too late. As for the Vanguard, they seem to care about Crow, and after his mistake in this season, it seems Zavala and Saladin are giving Crow the advice and parental/authoritative discipline Uldren needed. Then again, Uldren was obsessed and devoted to Mara, he was blind by too many other things to consider his own well being and health. In a complex yet arguably toxic relationship, Mara was selfish, and I think Crow isn’t going to give her a second chance to be a sister. Hopefully Crow can avoid and correct the flaws Uldren had, and embrace the good parts of himself that Uldren didn’t have the chance to.

What if he wasn't referencing us these accolades do point to us but Osiris would of been in the infinite forest when he lost the light during the red war and he survived and its known Osiris has met with mara in the past with Eris it's possible Osiris help lay the breadcrumbs for us to avenge Cayde and seemed (even though Savathun was disguised as him) he knew the tangle shore and has been there before us. I'm just saying it could be a possible way for a past Osiris and Sagira 😭 to become paradoxical 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@stonelessohio5694 Yes. My interpretation is that she fell for Crow. From the lore of Sweet Sorrow and the Ivory Empress sparrow. They portrayed her in denial in Sweet Sorrow and anger in Ivory Empress. The end of both lore showed that she hold him very dearly which result it a big heartbreak.

I'm confused, according to Mithrax the psychic connection can only be formed between those with light but Anna managed to form a connection (tentative though it may have been) with Rasputin and he certainly doesn't have the light.

Rasputin has had the light by proxy of Felwinter, so it’s possible Rasputin knows something about the nature of the Traveler we do not.

Considering Osiris is seemingly not hooked up to anything (no mentions of things like an IV bag or a tube in his throat to keep his airway clear) I don’t think Osiris is in a coma. This makes me wonder if what the lore says about Osiris being “asleep” is far more literal than we might assume; some sort of magically induced sleep. The problem I have with that theory however is that, if that were the case, our resident hive magic expert should be able to fix this or at least tell us more. The fact Eris Morn hasn’t become relevant here suggests it isn’t any kind of hive magic either.

I mean, in all fairness, this may be out of Eris’ scope of knowledge. I know that may sound shocking, but although she is an expert, there’s things that even she will not know. For all we know Osiris could literally be separated from his body is a soul-like sense. Where he could be stuck in the acendant plane somewhere, slow wandering around. We simply just can’t be sure of anything. And I do believe that, as byf said, that savathun and Osiris will be brought up in a season sometime soon. My theory is that in order to heal Osiris we may need to ressurect the witch queen to do so.

If I’m overanalyzing here and Osiris is actually in a coma, then it seems we’re talking about the most extreme form: comatose and unresponsive (the patient cannot move or respond to stimuli). If this is indeed the case, then assuming Osiris is getting the full hospital treatment (pipe in the air connected to a breathing machine, catheter, etc) then at this point there is nothing we can do except wait for him to wake up

Yes but as was revealed by Eris in the last page of that lore book all previous pages, including the one with Caitl was Savathun manipulation.
