When playing this season there was a lot of speculation on how we can defeat Xivu Arath since every action against her only makes her stronger. During the final cutscene where the traveler left the atmosphere of Earth it was a direct call back to Destiny 1 concept art. A lot of people were conflicted on the traveler's actions in that cutscene. Hope you guys are ready for lightfall. Will give a slight warning it is a major setup for the final shape. You will have questions during lightfall but they will answer some of those questions during some of the seasons following the dlc. A few notes to add Note 1: Usually the final mission for the season happens two weeks until the next season/dlc. This final mission was only out for a week. The day before lightfall came out they put d2 off line to do a lot of maintenance on the game. Note 2: When Rasputin says that all files from the city on Neptune has been deleted not by him. That is a major concern for a numerous reasons. You guys are almost caught up on destiny. Almost 10 years of story telling.

We have concepts and arts of Rasputin being a Guardian, and since his sub AI/son Felwinter was resurrected as a Guardian, we are still holding out hope that the Traveler will return him to us until now. Lightfall is upon us. Good luck.

Partially looking forward to Lightfall. Don't focus too much on the unanswered questions, but the story still brings a lot of new things to be excited for. This was actually the last Expansion that was released before I began playing.

Old Red went out with a bang, literally. Failed to save humanity in the collapse, destroyed the Iron Lords due to jelousy(for his "son's" Felwiner loyalty) and distrust, triumphed over the Red Legion, "destryed" by The Witness's invasion on the system(Arrivals), woken up once again and learned from the mistakes of his past, became human, and sacrificed himself for humanity. My man's life was full of ups and downs, was known as The Tyrant, yet he still chose us over himself. He'll be remembered. I can't wait for you to get to Lightfall, so many secrets are uncovered, mysteries solved, and we get one of the most iconic(and underutilized) villains, you'll see.

I still wear armor pieces from this season on my Guardian, in memory of it, and of Rasputin. I played Season of Plunder and enjoyed it okay. I played Season of the Seraph and knew I was sticking around for the long haul. Rest in peace, Rasputin.

And on to Lightfall we go. I'm just forewarning you guys that Lightfall will bring up a lot of questions and not really answer them until the seasons after. According to Bungie's narrative team, it was something that they were kind of experimenting with in order to give the seasons more meaning. And... let's just say the fan base didn't take that too well😂😂😂

That final cutscene means so much. when you've played the game since the beta over 10 years ago...... and the moment where original title art shows itself with the traveler floating above the Earth brings the full circle the meaning of the title of this series. Destiny.......the moment the second collapse is about to take hold again, and that moment of questioning....is the traveler leaving OR is it heading to meet the Witness Finding the place between power and survival... This was definitely one of the most striking cutscenes in the franchise.

Fun fact: All the Warsats are using a large scale version of an Exotic Linear Fusion rifle known as Sleeper Simulant, or one of the strongest guns in Destiny 1 next to Gjallarhorn. its also infamous for having the most brutal questline to obtain the damn thing difficulty spike 1: The very beginning has you input 3 sets of codes in binary. this sucks spike 2: You have to do 1 warsat public event on mars, earth and the moon. Earth and Moon are easy since they happen frequently, but Mars just REFUSES TO SPAWN THEM IN EVEN AFTER TWO HOURS spike 3: You have to do a harder version of a strike where death is a guarantee but hey, at least it's not the *_swords_* also, when the Witness said the Traveler had nowhere else to run, it meant it. The darkness has consumed the rest of the universe. It quite literally has nowhere else to go

When you are both done with your Destiny journey, I'd highly suggest doing a Warframe journey. Has alot of similarities, but its writing will surprise you.

The season finale I've been waiting for since you started reacting to Destiny. The ending cutscene is in my mind the best one we have ever gotten although a few other definitely rival it. Im already expecting you guys to be either relatively or extremely confused after Lightfall but it will only get better afterwards even if it's a hard bump in story quality imo

While everyone thinks the Traveller was leaving, I saw it as something different. It was a last ditch effort of the Traveler to save people in the City and the surrounding area from the Warsat blast. If it stayed by the city, it would have undoubtedly caused mass destruction and cost many lives if it damaged and caused debris to fall or caused the Traveler to drop from the sky. We've seen that the Traveler can speed away if it wanted, but it didn't do that.

Did I miss it, or was the Spire of the Watcher dungeon not included in any of the footage that got reacted to? That dungeon had some nice-to-know information about Nefele Stronghold, going into Lightfall. Not to mention the collectible radio messages that provided some extra context for the finale cutscene of the Season of the Seraph. Another fun reaction to watch regardless!

From Eramis' perspective I could only imagine that if she does agree that she shouldn't be shooting the god that left her race to the Whirlwind, it wouldn't matter because her relationship to the *Witness* is now akin to a Terrorist leader holding a gun behind their slave's head. Fear is the mind killer.

Best season of Destiny. Anyways obviously as the hive god of war, defeating Xivu Arath will much different than fighting Oryx or Savathun. Every action we take makes her stronger. There was an old prophecy that was removed from the vanguard records saying that the Traveler would leave us. Here it kinda happened. Of course characters in the game had some mixed reactions. Like the Witness says the Traveler has nowhere left to run. But the traveler was fully gonna ditch earth because what the witness has planned is much worse than the destruction of civilizations. You will find out what the Witnesses plan is but it will take time. Lightfall is gonna be a huge turning point. The Neptune files will be answered and during some lore during lightfall will explain why it was deleted. The next part of the Witnesses plan will be revealed. And of course the following seasons will go through the conflict during lightfall, the origins of the Witness, and the major setup to Final Shape.

I kinda hate how the writing team treated Rasputin. We barely saw him doing his stuff. The sheer power he has is insane, one of the strongest allies we had. The scene where his War-Sat aim for the traveler show this well, making the sky glow blue just by charging... and then... everytime we got him up, running and ready to war - they nerfed him to the ground. Instantly turned-off just because a Polygonal Ship flew nearby. Had to die to defeat a enemy. Like, I know, its interesting, Xivu is a war god, and we defeated it by disarming ourselves... but damn, this was mad bad for me that we barely saw Rasputin in action, and one of the times was against a adrift broken satelite... So... yeah... I didn't liked this season, despite knowing and accepting its good, its cool, its well written. It just left a bad taste to see a character I like to go without doing anything he was said capable of so many times.
