Sony definitely wants to make one. Sony is actually more concerned with turning Destiny into their own Star Wars, and for that they want bigger and better Franchising. They fully intended to take over Bungie if The Final Shape failed. But that didn’t happen so Bungie can remain working on the game and Sony can hopefully get the Anime going. I remember they said Destiny was officially going to expand into Film or Television Media but we haven’t gotten an update since. That’s where the Anime rumor started up.

The JP for Mara is voiced by Tanaka Atsuko. You might have heard her as Flamme from Frieren, Bayonetta, Hanami from JJK and Motoko kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. Just want to share some.

Huh, something I found REALLY interesting is that the in-engine cutscenes (ex: Safiyah cutscene, the campfire), DO actually have the mouth movements match the words being spoken. I think some of the facial movement is more exaggerated than how the words are being delivered, and some of it I think shouldn't be there at all (not sure why Zavala's shocked gasping has him muttering words, maybe this is a Japanese onomatopoeia thing I'm missing?) but the fact that they bothered to go through the effort at all is kinda neat to see.

There are tools that automate mouth movements on characters now, just from the audio. Nvidia Audio2Face makes it possible to have custom face capture for each language.

I am a Japanese game player. 40:05 This line from Cayde translates as 『I choose my destiny』 It was a wonderful production, tracing the gametitle.🥲 In Japanese, fate and destiny translate equally to 運命

I wonder how many languages has destiny been dubbed for? So far we have English, German, japanese, (edit 1: Russian dub) Edit 2: Traditional & simplified Chinese Brazilian Portuguese Latin American & European Spanish Korean Polish Italian French Any other languages I’m missing please let me know

Destiny the anime it should be an isekai where we are resurrected as guardians by our ghosts and we end up having no memories of our past life but we end up speaking a lot and we have memories of past guardians and so we end living the story of the guardian we play as in our game and all the events play out in the anime being animated in current present day anime style of course and our destiny character fights against gods and all the lore in game would be included in the anime as well I think It’s more than do-able I think it’s possible to do a video game anime right as long as it’s done by the books taken seriously by a passionate large team who knows the game and the lore inside and out
