For fks sake, he was saying how when the n word was used in Dave chappelles show, he saw a bunch of white people laughing AT him, not with him. What kind of piss weak, fake ass overly sensitive bulls**t is that? It's him and people like him that continue to give the word the power it has by being offended by it. In treating it as a word that is so offensive that nobody but black people can ever say it, is precisely what keeps the ability for racist people to use it in a harmful manner. His personal weakness, perpetuates racism. And even his gatekeeping of the word, while using it himself constantly completely defeats his own argument. Just as he said about gay slurs, if he felt so strongly about it, he wouldn't use the word himself if dissuading its use entirely was genuinely what he believed to be the correct path to resolve the issue. 2:09:02 so destiny doesn’t believe it’s the obligation of the us to support another population, unless they decide to come over on their own? Look I don’t agree with most of destiny’s stance but I have some mad respect for the guy, willing to truly debate people that don’t agree with him instead of just insulting and moving on

racial insults are appearence based insults, and should be looked at as the same level of insulting as calling someone 4 eye or fatass. I feel like Destiny made a wonderful argument for Lead pollution and Woody loss because he couldn’t defend. But I feel like Woody made a great point about life being hard no matter your race or upbringing and just having to push through and I feel like Destiny loss because all he could defend was people who are poor or have kids can’t further their education and it’s just too hard for a certain group of people. Minorities do have hard work ethic and do attend night school with kids at home ( I attended late classes and graduated from trade school with many ). I feel like they deserve respect for their drive and motivation not a poor baby.

Destiny just thinks people are animals running on instinct alone
@Might.B.Housey_4 ай бұрын
They did studies where they had test subjects tell the researchers whether they are going to press a button with their right or left hand. They needed to tell the researchers exactly when they made the decision to use whatever hand. At the same time, their brain activity was monitored via fMRI to determine which area of the brain activated during the time of the request. Based on the area of the brain that activates, you could tell what hand the subjects were thinking about using. The results of the study found that people’s subconscious mind makes decisions for them long before we come to the conclusions ourselves. Essentially, your brain is making decisions for you underneath the surface before you can even process them yourself. Therefore, this idea that of all of your decision-making and thought processes are coming from your own intuition is just wrong. I wouldn’t and I think destiny wouldn’t go as far as to use the term “animal instinct” because our consciousness is just so much more complex than animals. Regardless, it proves that we have way less free will than you think we do. Not to mention human beings behavior is so consistently not unique that we can actually predict it with crazy accuracy.
@kieferzenko4 ай бұрын
@housey_1312 using your left or right hand to press a button seems like a reflexive process not a conscious high level decision. I wonder what would happen if it was a decision that required more consideration.
