Just want to clear this up. I do NOT think destiny is a dead game, the title is what I’ve heard people say about the game, not my personal opinion. I love Destiny, the last few minutes of the video I’m glazing the hell out of this game lmao

The darkness turned out to be a huge fart, and they removed some of my favorite worlds. Play solo isn't possible at high lv areas, too hard and unfair, the game forces people to play with other people, and when they move on you're back at solo.

if you open enough exotic engrams/prime, you’ll reach max rank with rahool (rank 17). then a fourth page on that exotic tab will appear and will ask for an engrams and an exotic cipher in return for any exotic armor piece. you can get the exotic cipher from resetting your rahool rank. it’s obnoxious and you have to “waste” a ton of engrams to get what you really want, but it’s how it is now. also all of my friends won’t play d2 because they understand that the real good stuff comes with paying for DLCs that they don’t wanna pay for. $200+ upfront for a “free-to-play” game is hard to justify, whether you know what destiny is or not.

While the game is at a low point, this is still my game. All my crew is gone and I’m much more of a solo player. Team finder option was nice but for me it’s been an absolute shit show. There’s a high level of toxicity I’ve noticed just trying to play with these randoms when in the chat.

Destiny is the best looter shooter and always has been. There have been countless "Destiny Killers" and none have even come close to what Bungie has with Destiny. The gunplay, abilities, and loot are the best in the business. The people complaining about the pay to continue are the same people who will spend hundreds of dollars on other things they enjoy with no hesitation whatsoever. Great vid man, keep grinding! It is how it is because everyone does worse than bungie. Doesnt mean Destiny is going into a good direction. Just because everything else in terms of looter shooters is bad doesnt neccessarily mean D2 is good. Ive decided to stop looking away from the issues a long time ago and stopped playing it alltogehter until bungie decides to take a better path in the future again which is why im checking up on it here. And yes. It is still bad. And not worth the time nor money.

Still playing this game as I have from the start of Destiny I don't think I have done any raids I mostly do everything solo except gambit, crucible or nightfalls. They need to do more for solo players 😔

Someone might have mentioned this but, if you prestige Rahoul by completely resetting after rank 16, you unlock every exotic you have locked. You’ll be able to buy any exotic with enough materials. Interesting video just the same, I think we all hate the game but love the game and can’t quit the shit lol. If you want to blame someone, it’s definitely the CEO and absolute shit leadership. After seven years, we need a completely revamped system imbedded in a new game.

complete insanity i bought final shape for a friend who hadnt played since d1 and i totally forgot about the dungeon pass and the seasonal price increase this year. we also had 4 people playing with us so if we werent playing gambit someone was always left out. normally that was whatever, but with just how much the game costs no one can expect to have 6 people in a friend group to have a spare $120 a year (not offset by a subscription even) with so little to actually do in the game that isnt a total waste of time

Theres a way you can unlock certain exotics you dont have you just reset the engram vendors rank and then there should be a tab that you use 1 exotic cipher and a exotic engram to unlock a certain exotics

It's a dead game because the hardcore fans (myself included) think that for a live service game there isn't much evolving content.. you log in each week on reset.. check the brightdust store... grab what you want then log off.. that's if you've grinned everything (icebreaker + catalyst etc) that's just how I feel right now

Destiny 2 is P2continue? you mean dlcs that cost money? y'know, like every other game that costs money for its dlc? Like every other game that costs money for its battle pass? im new to destiny, and man im having the time oof my life, i was free 2 play for a while, and dude it shocked me how much free content there is. Most games wouldve just released the crucible as a whole game and called it a day Here i got a whole pvp game, 3 raids, 1 dungeon, 3 subclasses, god knows how many guns, like 10 different fully exploreable enviorments, vangaurd ops, gambit, dares of eternity, a horde mode and other stuff that isnt on the top of my head. Its wild to me how much the destiny community shits on their own game, yeah the networking and new player experience is ass but this is fun, like gaming as a kid kind of fun at least to me. Its sad that there arent that many ppl playing nowadays and so fireteam finder isnt helpful alot of the time, but there is genuinely nothing D2 right now. U dont like COD, u have Xdefiant, u dont like overwatch, u have apex team play, u dont like subnautica, there is no mans sky. Sure there is warframe but that isng my style. i remeber my 1st raid, it was Root of nightmares and 6 months ago, and that moment has stuck with my like some of my greatest gaming memories. Then it clicked, what destiny was all about, before everyone told "dude u gotta try a raid" over and over, but a possibly multi hour commitment seemed too daring. I spared a weekend and the raid took damn near 5 hours for my noob ass to get through but since then i havent put this game down for a damn day. IMO Destiny 2 the game + devs like that of warframe + good code and servers would make literally the perfect game for me and whole lot of other players

i disagree with ya on so many aspects its just unreal. d2 barely has end game for f2p people, and people also play destiny for the story, and what story f2p people have? a fumble of past and future quests with no rime or reason to where they are on the timeline. f2p people dont get older seasons because bungie takes them out of the game, you shouldve had actually played when the game STARTED as a f2p game you had 3 freacking campaings to actually play and understand what was going on, absurd amount of mid and eng game content that was actually FUN, and the guns were amazing. nowdays paid stuff is power crept and abused, you need to be lucky on xur to get older weapons and you cannot even craft jack if you are a f2p because the ciphers to craft the bunch of them are only on the PAID pass.... warframe is good as a f2p game because it has content in droves it never took shit away if you want to understand the story? go ahead start from 0 and actually experience it for hundreds of hours. on destiny you have a lost narrative that jumps times non stop and you cant even do all the hard content that is shown to you, oops nightfall dropped in a PAID STRIKE. GO BUY THE DLC FUCKER AHAH i sinked too much time into destiny to never recommend this game to any f2p player whatsoever its just horribly lacking cohesion compared to how it was before the sunsetting bullshit.

@ destiny dlcs are on the expensive side but they also add a whole campaign and a raid and sometimes a subclass, seems worth like 30-40$, so yeah 50 is pricey, but when your offering something that no one else is you can charge more. Destiny seasons add exotic missions, exotic weapons, and a seasonal activity, most other games that have seasons only have the season pass contents, and I don’t think it’s 15$x3, you buy the season pass and it lasts the whole episode, all 3 acts And dungeon keys aren’t mandatory to buy

I’ve been playing since D1 beta, I have about 4k hours, and I compete in day 1s at the highest level. Nothing has been worse than the curse of Osiris/ Warmind era. The problem with the “casual” argument is that D2 has a larger non casual presence than most other games. These long term dedicated players have taken a step back from the game since TFS. So much damage was done by upper management to not just hurt the game, but the trust of the players. Lightfall was a cataclysmic failure. It was hyped up to be THE moment in Destiny. Thematically and plot wise it was supposed to be our “infinity war” (quote from the devs). It broke pre order records, just to be so awful it missed revenue projections by 45%. Every time we have something good, the game immediately puts itself back into a hole: Vanilla D2 was good, curse and Warmind. Forsaken was great, shadowkeep and beyond light were abysmal. Witch queen was great, Lightfall was a complete failure. The game’s core mechanics and loot have always been fine and never the problem. Not enough loot? You just play more. Always more to get and build even after thousands of hours. It’s how much Destiny’s development has hurt its player base and that’s been the story since D1 beta. The game has always been fun. The game is currently fun despite the horrific sandbox balancing. Your main points in this video are small changes that don’t even change the core gameplay loop. The changes are nice, but also clutter the ui. You don’t have much substance here to stand on in this video aside from vibes.

They need to start implementing things that could help casual, solo or players that just aren't great at the game, like once a month have a mission to make a raid solo-able or something, or x amount of players that do this mission get put into a fireteam for the raid boss. just making more options to obtain things is always welcome, maybe give more loot to those who do the normal raid that weekend or w/e.

You can unlock the exotic. You have to level up to a certain rank with the crypt arch. Then you can decode any exotic you haven’t found 😅

I do think the methods of griding is lack luster... not much support. I remember back in D1 we had court of oryx to farm after in public events on a repeated rate. In D2 we had Blind Well... what I have issue is that over time, the seasonal missions all feel rather dull this time around. no one is happy to do it and often or not it just feels kinda not worth it... we need more options with griding activates... pvp is suffering, pve is getting stale, and both of these things is hurting the game on a slow burn. Destiny 2 is not a dead game, but it is slowly dying on a VERRY slow rate. unless bungie does something to fix these issues, this could get worse. Also Fireteam finder is VERRY biased on a certain degree... the reason why its because there are too many raiding/dungeon teams DEMANDING members to know the mechanics who are behind. unless you are in a clan, you will be left abandoned since its hard to find people who are willing to explain mechanics. Pathfinder is helpful as heck though, I'll give you that.

If they end up giving all the current content up to final shape to everyone for free and stick to what they say about the future and drip content through the season passes and have the eververse store for micro transactions then destiny will bring in a ton of players. Part of the problem for potential new players is an almost $300 buyin just to access the story content. Get rid of that gate and tons more people would flock in. It's the number one thing that keeps friends I try to get into destiny from staying long term.

Please believe I'm not attacking Bjamin but, You know what is a bad uninformed take, "Destiny is a Dead Game". Dead would imply the servers have shut down. Is it dying? Technically, however it has more active players than A LOT of games, Right now Palworld has 1/3rd of the playerbase on steam, Palworld is a game that's 7 whole ass years newer.... Destiny is the same juggernaut it's always been :) In fact Destiny 2 next year, will be better than it ever has been if the planned content becomes half-decent reality.
