I don't know the in game reason why there are thirteen wolf heads on Gjallerhorn but Bungie did explain why they put thirteen on. According to Bungie, every day they worked on Gjallerhorn, they put a wolf head on it somewhere. I could be wrong but I wanted to share this because its interesting.

Oh, and btw, I read that there are 16 wolves on the Gjallarhorn, and according to Mark Van Haitsma (the fellow who designed it at Bungie), he put a wolf on it for every day he spent working on it. I have stared at it, and there are indeed 16 viewable wolves, if you look at it from all available angles in game.

Ahh yes, the so beloved Gjallarhorn! If I remember correctly from the weapons guide that came with the special editions of Destiny in year 1, there are 16 wolf heads on the weapon - 1 for each day the artist who created the Gjallarhorn spent on this weapons design.

Ivan Caldwell definately. Story was originally what I thought was it's weakpoint until I discovered that it's lore is insanely indepth and very interesting. Personally I find the hive and lore and the darkness fucken awesome as well as the thought of guardians becoming tainted with darkness. Honesty hope that one day in destiny the their will be a war between the guardians and a darkened evil group of guardians and you get top choose your side Just an idea though hahah

the number of wolf heads is significant because each head represents a iron lord who rose from the of Twilight gap. and the gjallarhorn was made for those iron lords only. bungie was at first going to only put 13 into the game but ultimately changed their minds.

hey byf,the truth rocket launcher has Crux/Lomar etched on the side and it tracks also the design of it looks unfinished like a test rocket launcher so I think it was when gjallerhorn was built it took the truth perk as well as the unique wolf rounds perk.

I know this is an old video and I’m late to the series but you’ve mentioned in a few videos about the far history behind the city and a few battles where hundreds of guardians died, and I just wanted to ask if you had any idea how they died their final death? I thought the point of the ghosts was to bring us back, and also in the video that you mentioned radagast and the other firebreak titans pushing the fallen back you said their ghosts returned without them, how does that make sense?

So was G-horn created before or after the Iron Lords were killed off by Siva? To me it seems like Twilight Gap was after their deaths. Especially considering Saladin was a Vanguard at the time mentoring Zevala and Shaxx. So why is their such a connection between the Iron Lords and G-horn when they were already deceased? Saladin makes it sound like the lords used it in combat which wouldn't be possible. Plot hole I'm assuming?...

hi byf i have noticed something about destiny that's seems to be important in destiny and that is the numbers. between 0 to 9 but i have noticed something particular about the nr. 9 it seems to be important to guardians here is a list of the things i have noticed involving the nr. 9 first: the fact that we are called guardians spelled with 9 letters second: the game was released on the 9/9/14 third: 9 celestial bodies of importance in our solar system, the sun and the eight planets orbiting it fourth: the nine fifth: the 9 iron lords and their weapons sixth: the 9 iron wolf and their weapons seventh: Magistrate Loken's 9 guns pointed at jaren ward in the town of Palamon eighth: jaren ward and his eight companions that followed him to hunt down who or what destroyed Palamon ninth: the 9 guardians killed by the queens brother im sure there's more things relating the nr: 9 to guardians but these are just some examples could you please look into it further and thanks for all the destiny lore videos ps. try and look up the meaning of the nr. 9 in numerology i think you are going to find something interesting about it's meaning

So, this may seem a bit redundant, but it's bothering me. If those guardians fell during the battle of Twilight Gap, why was it their ghosts never revived them? I highly doubt the other Guardians during the battle of the six fronts just allowed those Guardian's ghosts to be destroyed, and what with their ability to disappear and appear at a whim. Why was this not accomplished? Perhaps ghosts don't NEED their specific Guardian? It's hinted at during a mission to retrieve the stealth modules from Cayde-6's stash that your ghost attempted to revive a once renowned fallen hero of a legendary war(possible the battle of twilight gap??) so the ghosts are not specific to any one guardian. why could those ghosts not revive all of those fallen Guardians? why allow your numbers to be thinned out? Id really like it for someone to have an answer for this, possibly Byf could do a video on that?

I have a theory as to why gally is no longer as good as it used to be, and fit within the lore.(though I am no expert) it might because the power of those heroes at twilight gap, whose armor was used to make the gally, are no longer comparable to us. It might be that we and our enemies have simply become more powerful than that mighty weapon. That we have, if not out grown, then out matched the gally to such an extent that we could have defeated most, if not all, of the guardians who fought that day.
