Articfly Gaming you should be using thermites with armentarium and and simmering flames while using melting points, have a warlock using song of flame so you keep getting your thermites back for first and third teleport, make sure u have a final round high impact shotgun for axis like found verdict and use a cluster bomb rocket launcher high velocity low blast radius, the unto dust, Datto’s load out is trash compared to this try yourself for the damage

To make things simpler for you: Vosik- sleeper stimulant (if 3+ players have 1 using it on him) can get him down in 2 rounds. But now with challenge mode I guess you would need to make sure you're not over doing it. Aksis- dark drinker along with people using stimulant are the best weapons. IMO: Outbreak isn't a weapon suited for neither of them bosses, nor is gjallarhorn. Swords are handy for captains (drinker or raze exotic swords) and dark and sleeper for Aksis are best overall dps towards him. Of course, you can use snipers if you wish but I feel if you're wanting to do max dps in rounds then you'll want to go in with dark drinker and sleeper. But remember it's one or the other since both are heavy weapons.

Hi Datto! Great vids as always! I would like to suggest something... One thing I have become a BIG fan of is the "Ether Nova" raid fusion rifle. Not only does it fire fast and kill mofos, the "double army of one perk" is GREAT for getting nades and melees MUCH QUICKER whether I am playing my Warlock (any class) for the nades or melees (I main a Warlock and typically run Sunsinger most in the raid so the flame shield and touch of flame/viking funeral combos are quite useful), my Hunter (always seem to run Nightstalker) for the nades (voidwall) and invisibility smoke (a life saver), or my Titan (usually Defender) for nades (supression or magnetic) and melees (force barrier is a life saver). It doesnt give you the boss damage potential of a sniper in most situations but if you also run Outbreak or Sleeper or Gjally, you can still put out some good damage AND take care of adds, etc. I hear a lot of people "poo-poo" the Ether Nova but for raids, getting your abilities back MUCH faster from getting kills is ALWAYS a good thing.... :)

I use a sword to take care of the captains, and also push people with it carrying parts. Also for warlocks the transversive steps are REALLY helpful for the Siege Engine, if you're carrying parts, you can move as if you're jogging while crouching. For phase 2 Aksis I use the claws of ahamkara with sunsinger viking funeral cause it stacks up to three times, and stacks on top of tether, melee him twice, radiance, spam fusion or solar grenades(I prefer fusion for better burst damage) run through the grenades until your super runs out, then go to ham with the dark drinker.

my loadout for each phase: I use steel medulla and ex Machina for every part of the raid, but I use Gjallarhorn for Vosik 1, Dark Drinker for captains in Vosik 2, Gjallarhorn for Siege, and DD again for both Aksis phases

helpful tip, when doing siege engine part 2, use any sword (exotic or legendary but legendary is better because you can also use outbreak prime with it.) to push (sword swipe) teammates while they are carrying parts so they can go faster.

I love using the Ether Nova fusion rifle during pretty much any part of this raid. I love the effective range of it and it's improved Army of One perk that procs very often. Getting your grenades and melee back every 4-5 shanks and dregs that you kill is really good. For vosik, you can even use it to shoot the big screens on hard mode. it does enough damage to be competitive with a sniper. atleast from my experience. For Vosik 1 and 2 Outbreak prime, Ether Nova and Sound and Fury Siege engine. Steel Medulla or Chaos Dogma, Any sniper rifle with triple tap. ( mine is a longbow with firefily, casket mag and tripple tap, so almost the magical roll that Datto mentions) and the raid rocket launcher. having 3 to 4 rockets in the clip is very convienient during any encounter. Aksis 1: Outbreak, Ether Nova and Rocketlauncher. Aksis 2 Steel Medulla Ether Nova and Dark Drinker obviously. I can highly recommend the fusion rifle, especially for those classes that benefit the most for themselves and the team by using Sunsinger and Nightstalker. Their grenades and melee can be life safers or do some real good damage. since there's a lot of shanks during the starting part of every round, you won't need a sniper for them. I had plenty of success with that fusion rifle. too bad it's so underrated.

I know folks may not like Bad Juju but I find the no reload, super charging, damage boosting perks helpful for adds. with the stab perk as well, it burst straight up and down like Reddeath so very predictable shot pattern. I can get the tracking rockets from space helm on Titan. Obviously certain fights I switch this around but still works pretty well for me.

Just use what you're comfortable with as a primary. Snipers are needed for the siege engine and are useful on any boss, but not a necessity. Heavies are important, ghorn or sleeper works all the way through and dark drinker is good at the end if you have it.

Primary wise you can use: The hung jury: scout vendor roll from y2. Imago loop: from strike chests at undying mind and echo chamber; look for these perks: outlaw, spray and play, firefly, rifled barrel, explosive rounds. The fwc hand cannon: from rank up packages, look for explosive rounds cause that will let u 1shot shanks. High impact scout rifle with explosive rounds to 1shot shanks. But generally look for primaries with reload perks or triple tap since those will let u kill more enemies quicker. If u need an ok sniper then buy the event horizon from the vanguard weapon vendor; and as heavy it would be nice if u allready had a gjallarhorn, sleeper simulant or a sword, but a good high impact lmg will do.

The Trials handcannon does wonders you should try it with explosive rounds, everyone is looking for a handcannon with explosives, it's pretty funny... I play the entire raid with that, the raid sniper, and a Darkdrinker...

This raid is super flexible when it comes to loadouts and strategies. My loadout is: Vosik P1 __ PDX-45, Full-Auto Diedres Retort, Gjallahorn Vosik P2 __ PDX-45, Full-Auto Diedres Retort, Sleeper Simulant Siege Engine __ PDX-45, ExMachina, Gjallahorn Aksis P1&P2 __ PDX-45, Black Spindle, Sword All in all, it feels really comfortable. I think I would change the PDX for a weapon that could one shot shanks for Aksis P2.

Done raid 50+ times according to progressbook boss kills achievement, here is what i have seen the most success with. Vosik p1: Doesn't matter, should be an easy warm up. Sleepers and nighthawk golden guns can 1 phase him. Vosik p2: Explosive Round Scout Rifle (Burning Eye from Trials is good) and just get body kills to limit the amount of dreg balls of death. Raid Sniper for Monitors (seems to take ~5 shots @ 100k hp). Sleeper for captains and boss. We can 2 phase him without using balls on the last damage phase, and I still haven't been in a party with everyone using it. Spindle is "best" but its impossibly to hit all headshots if you have any noob in your team using a rocket launcher. The flinch is impossible to account for unless everyone is using spindle. If you're new to the raid have self res grab front balls on left/right side. And have titan take middle lane so he gets weapons of light up ASAP. Siege: Primary doesnt matter (pulses are great for mines, but if you go right then you dont have to worry as much). Raid Sniper. 2-3 run sword, rest run sleeper. Swords kill captains. I've got siege complete in 4m03s with two people running swords, we ran ahead and killed almost all ads with little trouble by ourselves and took mines out on the way back to the group, while the group started moving parts and shooting skiff turrets. A good group should also be able to down the spider by the time one of the swords kills the captain on the ship. Aksis p1&2: Explosive round high impact hand cannon or scout to 1 shot skanks. Raid Sniper for short teleporting damage phases. Drinker for boss. Highest lights can use up cannons and still have time to burn ~40 sword ammo. Ideal super load out is 2 tethers 1 bubble and whatever else. If you don't need self res palpatine is great for siege and celestial nighthawk golden gun is good for bosses, gives you an extra 200k per person using it so you can 1 phase vosik if you're a savage. HUGE NOTE: If someone dies on Aksis, it is infinitely easier to double cannon than it is to double throw when there is 9 servitors. Have someone take both cannons and go to one of the sides so they can see all 3 spawn doors and just stand on them switching cannons. I see to many people in LFG groups that want to double throw, and they almost always run out of time because of all the scrambling. If you like cannoning, get using to standing in one spot on left/right side and sniping the servy from any lane.

In my opinion for vosik phase 2 and siege engine you want weapons with firefly for crowd control agains the various dregs and vandals. Whether that be imago loop (mine has firefly + spray and play btw) hung jury, or even the raid auto.

In Vosik outside, I use the Outbreak Prime with the raid sniper and the Ash Factory. In Vosik inside, I use the raid scout rifle with the raid shotgun and the Sleeper. Give saladin's vigil a chance. Its a good medium for taking on captains (stuns with void damage in one burst and you don't have to lick them) My first go i used it the entire time.

I do so well with my IB SR (forget the name of it and I'm not around my PS4) with firefly/auto fire, EX machina, sand Ghorn. The Hunter's raid gauntlets with the Gunslinger build helps reload those 14 shots fast. And that's the whole run. May switch to my Shadow Price or some high rate of fire AR here and there though. I'm usually good going like that throughout the whole run. Gonna run today with some young homies with Datto's load outs and see they treat me.

Any high impact scout rifle with explosive rounds will one shot shanks. Makes such a difference for both ammo reserves, and just how calm the situation is when you can one shot them. It helps a lot on phase 1 too, when the shanks stream down you pick them off sooooo easily.

I prefer Fever & Remedy over Medulla simply because you can one-shot shanks much faster. Also, Devil's Dawn and Event Horizon are the same archetype as Ex Machina and Spindle. Sure, Devil's Dawn is a set roll, but it has bonus Fallen damage and is actually one damage point higher than Spindle (38 vs 37). Lastly, per your own research, I run sword at every phase other than the first Vosik encounter. Razelighter for Vosik 2 (faster TTK on captains and super-building perk), and Darkdrinker for Aksis.

I like bad juju/event horizon/void rockets for vosik outside. bad juju let's me rarely have to reload. after that, I switch to hung jury with firefly/event horizon/dark drinker for the rest of the raid. dark drinker makes quick work of captains, and event horizon does great boss damage.

High impact scouts (61) that can-one shot the shanks at Aksis, Hand of judgment (House of judgement scout), Keystone (Dead orbit scout), Badger CCL (Vanguard scout), Colovance's duty (TTK iron banner scout), The Burning eye (Y3 Trials scout) with accurized ballistics. Chaos dogma (raid scout), the cocytus (gunsmith scout) and last extremity (crucible) are also 61 impact but can't roll explosive rounds. The bonus damage against fallen from chaos dogma is not sufficient to one shot the shanks. Crowd control and reactive reload will also let you achieve one shots for this archetype but only situationally. Explosive rounds enables it all the time.Mid impact hand cannons (ex: the Palindrome, Finalla's peril,Eyasluna) and high impact hand cannons (ex: ill will) can also do this even without explosive rounds. However they have lower mag sizes and lower range (making you suffer from both damage falloff and inaccuracy at range), so they aren't as good for this purpose. Hand cannons also have very noticeably lower reserve ammo than scouts and you may run out if youre not careful and/or have bad RNG!

Love the loadouts, except for first phase of vosicks. Gjallahorn is the weapon to use here with the ex machina. A primary should be able to kill everything while a gjally does a lot of damage to vosicks that an outbreak just doesn't do. It also doesn't rely on crits. Having an ex machina available to do damage after I shoot my rockets is always an upside to me. I may not get crits, but I'll be doing more damage with that than any other primary or secondary can do. Even the outbreak.

Agree, you can do this raid with almost any weapon while being at the correct light. Obviously certain weapons help like having a Sniper for the War Machine. But people saying you need a sword or even Outbreak Prime are just relying on Crutches to get them through the raid.

Out of curiosity, how does the No Time to Explain fair in terms of boss damage? I know that Outbreak Prime is good because it gives bonus damage after a few bursts, but with the potential to have bottomless clip how does that damage compare if you can't rely on special or heavy for boss damage. I only mention this cause our raid group is usually 3 or 4 people and so a lot of the ammo goes into making sure we can down the captains.

Just use weapons of similar archetypes to the raid weapons. No raid shot gun? Any other PvE shotgun will do. No raid sniper? Any high impact PvE sniper will do (ie. triple tap, etc). When in doubt, use G-Horn.

Primary: If you've got a hung jury from year 2 that will do wonders for you in just about all parts of the raid. Like he said, if you've got the trials Scout rifle with accurized ballistics and explosive rounds that is also very good in aksis (and siege engine since it doesn't really matter what you use there). Since you aren't going to have outbreak prime, just don't worry about it too much. You can get through the raid just fine without it. Secondary: If you don't want to use your exotic in the heavy or primary slot, then black spindle will be very helpful here for Vosik and Aksis (once again, for siege engine it doesn't matter too much). A decently rolled Eirene or a well rolled 1k stare or Longbow are excellent choice in all encounters where you want a sniper. If you're looking for a good shotgun, shotguns are pretty flexible. A shotgun you are comfortable with works, especially ones with full auto. Heck, I've used Last Ditch (vendor roll) in some fights and been fine. Full auto is nice because when you want a shotgun for those big targets like Captains, it melts them quickly and can save you a nova bomb or other super Heavy: If you aren't going to use black spindle or an exotic primary, pretty much just roll with Ghorn and sleeper the entire time. Use ghorn for things like Vosik outside, Siege engine, and vosik phase 1 since there is no big boss damage (vosik outside you will pretty much 2-3 phase him no matter what) Use sleeper on Vosik inside and Aksis phase 2. If you want a non-exotic heavy just use a decently rolled rocket launcher or just one you're comfortable with. Something like Ash Factory comes to mind for a rocket, and the Iron Banner Machine gun. If you are having a hard time finding something for a heavy, switch your other slots to legendary, and use Ghorn. Ghorn is absolutely not NEEDED tho.

Yeah that is a good loadout! Sword can be nice for captains but ghorn works well too since you can kill them from a safe distance with it. Devils dawn is what i used before getting the raid sniper.

I run Imago Loop, Ex Machina, Dark-Drinker for majority of the Raid and in that final wave of DPS on Aksis, I swap to Sleeper.

Mr. Datto I understand you are very busy. But we don't know what the best shot gun for the raid is. Some people love and exclusively use the lowest impact tear of shot guns with full auto or other good PvE perks. The quantiplasm~ is almost the complete opposite as it is almost the max impact tear.

Yes for everything other than the Aksis portion of the raid. The heavy attack animation is faster than DD and it has an intrinsic perk that builds super energy. Not to mention solar burn comes up in the rotation far more often than void AND there are more enemies in the game with solar shields than void.

I use Colovance's Duty w/ Crowd Control and Ex Machina w/ Void throughout the entire raid and use Sleeper Simulant through Vosik and Dark Drinker the rest of the way. Easy mode.

It doesnt matter which ones you slam so yes everyone can go to one. But the light eater shanks will still eat light from each one if you dont kill them!

DPS-wise it's really only the best for Aksis phase 2. The rest of the raid you're better off with Raze-Lighter. But I'm in the same boat as you and use Dark Drinker for most of it simply because it's not that much worse for captain killing and saves me infusing another sword up to 400 (for now anyway).

Colin Kramer since the only place where Dark Drinker really shines for most groups in this raid is on Aksis Phase 2. it ain't a bad sword or choice to use but seeing that you can only make use out of a sword if you are literally right next to the boss or major if you want to do DMG on them to far and you might miss your swings and lose alot of ammo and dmg push yourself to far and you might end up getting yourself killed. next to that you are better off using Ghorn or Sleeper for Vosik,Death Zamboni(DD is okey for Zamboni if you are on meksis duty getting rid of him as fast as possible is always good) and Aksis Phase 1 because you can keep that distance between yourself and the enemy troops, majors and boss in case you get overrun or need to get the major's down. again ain't a bad choice but the heavy slot can be used much better in some parts I personally run. Vosik P. Steel medulla~ S.Ex machina~ H.Ghorn Steel medulla is just my favourite primary and it's pretty good in my opinion.Ex machina is for boss DPS since I got most gear with bonus sniper ammo and gauntlets with sniper loader and Ghorn in case left middle or right needs adds or majors cleared asap. Death Zamboni I only really switch my secondary here to a shotgun since I am mostly on meksis duty while still sticking to Ghorn in case teammates need fire on adds or majors. Aksis Phase 1 pretty much same as Zamboni like datto I don't really value a sniper here it's pretty difficult to hit those captains since they like to sprint in and out of cover alot. and they are pretty fast so I rather fire a rocket or get him down with a shotgun.
