I mean, unless D2 turns off tomorrow, it won't be the final GM. Several battlegrounds have been GMs still, we are still getting expansions (no matter how small, a strike is most likely still included), and they could always unvault or revamp some.

I feel a combination of light level combined with not having a concussive dampener is likely why you where getting 1 shot. I know Datto's all 'omg optimizing is for babbies' cause he tends to run around with people that do it for him, but it is rather important to eak out any amount of advantage possible. And having multiple of the same type of resist mod applies depreciating returns, while having two different ones instead amplify the effect (two void resists is 25% reduction, while a void + concussive dampener will give you 32% damage reduction against void explosion sources (of which the tormentor is). Always run at least 1 concussive dampener and then the elemental dampeners of choice for me, tends to be the most helpful. (there's also the fact that prismatic just gets 15-30% DR for free just for existing, while Solar does not, so that likely plays a factor in it as well).
