I think it's because of his instinctual "West bad" stances. The problem is that the west is not, in fact, inherently bad so he sees a situation where one party is virulently antisemitic and the other party is the West and he feels like he has to run cover for the antisemites.

There are bunch of issue's with Hasan content strategy. He stopped engage'ing with people over the last 2 years and you can see more and more disconnected opinions that do not appeal to his audience( cause that happens in a echo chamber). Like wether its Ukraine, Taiwan or Isreal/palestine, he says stuff that genuine socialists and even communists(not the tankies) dissagree with. Secondly, he used to be the up and comming in the fast lane socialist, and thats all cool for the kids, but you want you audience to grow with you, especially if those you hang out with, generally also have a age'ing demographic (like the otk/lsf people ). Like Hasan didnt grow his content and I think most people would have expected that he would grow some movement, or anything thats visible to grow socialism in the real world. The third thing that Hasan did what was really bad for his carreer is that he insulted so many people with extreem uncharitable labels, that people basicly only want to work with him for the clout and nothing else. He jumps to conclusions about people (just like he does with the news), and this finally caught up to him.

Sorry I've tried to play into the r word as a slur but if you think about it objectively it's really stupid. Like if you don't like the word whatever but making it such a boogeyman akin to the n word is dumb and everyone is realizing it. I think the best point against the r-word as a slur is the "euphemism treadmill." People recognize that being mentally disabled is worse than not being mentally disabled, so whatever term is currently used for mental disability will ALWAYS be used as an insult. Idiot and moron used to be medical terms for mental disability, and now we use things like "special" as an insult. If we try to put some extraordinary focus on the r-word, that's just an attempt to stop the treadmill when that's not how it works. There's nothing significantly different between idiot, moron, r-word, and special, it's just whichever one we've arbitrarily decided is a slur while the medical community will keep popping out new words for the same thing that kids will use as insults anyways.

People with intellectual disability feel incredibly hurt by the r-word and recognize it as a slur. Amazes me how people don’t take them into account, but that erasure is only further evidence of their marginalization and how ableist it is to use the word in the first place.

@annalisem6836 I have several people with intellectual disabilities in my family. But do they have the same problem with moron or stupid? Smooth brain is another and mentally deficient is another modern way of talking about people with mental disabilities but I hear it used often as an insult. So when does it end that we constantly have to change language to make people feel better. Would I say the r word around these people or call them that no. Just as I wouldn't call a woman a slut or a Native American a savage while we still use these words I other circumstances.

Your dislike for Hasan is leading you to follow some spurious thinkers. Let's be clear, there isn't substantial forensic journalism on what happened to that hospital. The real conclusion is that people should not be speaking about it objectively (there are experts that believe it could have been a mortar blast coinciding with an air raid). But Hasan's mediocrity should not lead you to Destiny. His entire consequentialist philosophy is inconsistent, unclear, and frankly under/misread. He frequently cites studies that he doesn't understand. And he is one of the least historically informed "political" streamers out there. I like you Papa Gut, but it is already a lot getting second hand Hasan; but second hand Destiny is awful. I would suggest watching his "debate" against Michael Brooks or Ben Burgis as examples of nuanced and informed thinkers facing off against his terminally online dogma.
