@@ealing456 They marketed it as a spin off game just as they marketed Path of the Furon as the 3rd game but then stopped when they worked on Big Willy. Like with all games, the general consensus can be a big overreaction. Despite the criticisms, it is still enjoyable. The writing is just as good as the first two games and the relationship between Pox and Crypto is actually explored more which is really good along with the fact that unlike the 2nd game, at least Crypto actually goes back to destroying humans as opposed to working with them. The motion controls can be a bit annoying at first but you can get used to them rather quickly too.

Shockingly underrated tbh, especially considering that the game's explosion and destruction effects would be heavy on 360 and PS3 CPUs in 2008 anyway and are quite detailed for the time (especially the tornado blaster's effects), which is most evident using HDMI. If it had another month or two in the oven, to iron out the bugs and add to the physics with an attempt to improve the FOV, as well as to fix the first area missions in the story, it should have been a total classic. There's no way that it deserved to be treated like an electronic plague, and hopefully Black Forest Games/HQ Nordic will revive it with the golden Crypto/Pox banter intact after 2's remake. P.S. If you leave Crypto idle, he will pick his neck orifice and eat whatever got onto his finger. Also, during the missions where you are required to disguise yourself, the dialog changes depending on who you pick, when talking to whoever is marked on the map.
