So I've got a bit of a guide for destroyers in 2023! In the video, I'll be going over each tech tree and telling you what each nations DDs (destroyers) are about, and in the gameplay portion, I'll go into how to/I play DDs!

The most important thing a destroyer can do is survive. A destroyer on a flank has the power to hold back an entire push, or clutch the game with a sneaky cap. Remember captains, the only good destroyer is one that is alive to spot for their teams!

100% I don't know how many games I've seen where a destroyer charges the cap sits in the centre of it most of the time in smoke until bam a wandering torp nukes them I know you got to go in but if it's not being taken hold back for a minute access the situation once you lose your destroyers it's a quick slide downward

How do you do this in European destroyers without the smoke? especially when getting outspotted. I can't seem to make it work in the typical destroyer role as there's no way to disengage or spot.

@@brooklynmartinez6547 European DD's are an odd breed. In my experience, the Paneuro DD's operate like light cruisers with a focus on torpedo's. Play a little further back than the rest of your dd's. Your torps have the speed to make up for the extra distance. Don't be afraid to use your guns as well. Your speed is your best ally. You can run away from a flak if your team collapses, or push the enemy dd's once you have won the flank. Playing them like other dd's will get you killed, I should know. I have died many a time in them playing like normal.

I have a habit of getting tunnel vision on a enemy DD and ending up in bad situations. I still love using gun boats though because I also play lots of battleships and its nice to be able to unleash all my frustration onto those little pests.

Man thanks heaps for actually explaining which destroyers are good for what things at what ranges it was much appreciated every other how to destroyer clips I've watched has never covered it before I'm very new to destroyer play im picking it up but any good advice is great

Just want to also add on here where it will be seen cover your destroyer players be loaded and ready to shoot at enemy destroyers they need to be crushed it can be hard to hit them i didn't try when i first started now i light them up either dealing mass damage or tearing them into two pieces theres nothing worse then being a destroyer to see your flanks ships running tails between their legs or competing with each other to dev strike a cruiser yes its fun but there's time tor for that an enemy destroyer can't dodge 3+ships firing on it

My Tatics as a DD is to be with a teammate(im low tier so i go behind a cruiser) then i go stealth mode and capture the point and try to spot as much enemy's as possible and survive to support my allies.

Anybody noticed recently that when you go to shoot close torpedoes you get death struck immediately in lite crusers?

how can i spot my enemy!!, the only way for me to spot them so far is to get them in my detection rang where i also get detected and from there its always game over for me

when an enemy is within the view range of an ally, they'll light up so in other words don't go to far afront of a Battleship and even less so when there's only a cruiser in your vicinity with a Destroyer you should capture the points, take out the enemy destroyers so to keep your battleships safe and harass any other enemy ship that you can in whatever way possible if the enemy is attacked from several angles, he can't focus on the 2 or 3 ships attacking him at the same time

I am a beta 2 player vetran and feel f up the @$$....And it has pissed me off. I am glad you put this vid out. I will hold on to my steel and not but anything for steel. Ive got to much doubloons and was gonna spend it all on bs stuff and be done with the game but now i will hold on to my doubloons and only do the campaigns with my doubloons. I do not want to know how much money ive spend on this game. I totaly love your honesty. They should change the name steel to steal because thats what they do 🤣

The most important thing for destroyers is to use the invisible torpedoes, start the game and quit that’s what I do for all my 57 ships I haven’t played the game in months
