I literally have the same make (not the same model but the brew chamber is the same) of that coffee machine at the hotel I work at. I'm the chief engineer so I'm in charge of fixing it. I'll give you some advice with that. The brew chamber (the thing with the worm gear) needs to be COMPLETELY dry when putting it back into the machine. If it's even a little wet in places it shouldn't be, the coffee grounds will stick to it and become like a concrete and eventually seize up the brewer, which involves having to completely disassemble it, soak it in vinegar, clean it, and then reassembling it. It's so annoying so just make sure it's dry! It will get wet eventually due to normal use, but you're supposed to clean it regularly anyway.
@lucianafernandes63086 күн бұрын
The fact that you have told the process for cleaning the machine for when William inevitable ignores your advice of drying the brew chamber before assembling is very good. I'm sure it will be pretty handy.

@@VNdougGenerally, no. But water meters can be so neglected that their shutoffs can stop working, or the knob can be so seized that succeeding in turning it could very well break it off. These full-auto coffee machines are the main reason I wanted a machine with a portafilter. The beans get static when grinded, stick everywhere and start molding. I worked in gastro where you have to clean them daily and I clean my parents machine whenever visiting. I also gotta say though! You do inspire. I like to fix things up, but I find a lot of projects that leave me feeling like I need to call a professional, I'm just not researching hard enough, I'm not 3D printing parts even though I have a 3D printer, and I'm not doing the math. @ I'm in Michigan now, but SoCal is a desert whether people waste water at home or not. Consumer usage is the last in the line and the smallest amount, after Nestle and other water monopolies, agriculture, municipal, industrial, and commercial use. All the nonsense about short showers, not watering grass, and chipping in that they push on consumers, is just a drop in a _very_ large bucket. Nestle alone could solve most of the water shortage problems in California. They pay pennies on the truckload and effectively own several water sources, thanks to a very old sweetheart contract made with the state, when things weren't as bad.

Also look into “tierra prieta” black earth, indigenous people in brazil used to just toss their ash and burnt timber everywhere and found out that charcoal would make the soil ultra fertile by accident. Since your area just had some extensive fires going on, you might just be able to scoop up a truckload of charcoal for cheap. Just a thought, good luck with your farming.
