Seems like the classic case of a decent game idea ruined by publishers who want to compete with a trending title, in this case Fortnite, but they weren't willing to allow the time, effort or resources to actually make a competent game. This has some sort of promise, and the idea on paper actually sounds really fun. This is what I loathe the most about modern games. These companies and CEO's clearly see and understand what gamers want, but they want it out NOW, and they don't wanna take the risk or resources needed that made the games they're trying to capitalize off of successful in the first place. These publishers need to understand that we can see right through it. This game is a great example of the community seeing through that.

The game overall is bad, but i praise the ability to escape the wrecked car and try to get to another one before getting run over, if only any Twisted Metal title had that feature

I liked the IDEA. But they went full on on the Fortnite train, most of the ads teached you NOTHING about what the game actually WAS, and the game was clearly made with "Live" "Service" in mind first and as something fun after. Not to mention that these kind of exclusives are thankfully diying. In my country I barely saved enough to buy a decent PC, I can't even look at the price of a PS5 (spoilers, they are at least double the original price because almost 107% total taxes) Also, I'm pretty sure someone could recreate the whole game just using that Fortnite editor thing lmao.

Its now more active than before because you had to wait a lot for matches. But now i noticed there are more players, so it is not fully dead atleast.

This game had the potential. I think the game died as soon as they removed Gridfall. That mode was genuinely a LOT of fun. Ever since they removed it, I had issues finding matches and enjoying the game overall. Sad.

Yes, I am glad this game is dead. It is the epitome of bubblegum. The idea of the game is pretty decent. It needed a completely different visual style, more variation in level design, and more to do.

Exactly. It had potential to bring car combat to the main stream market but it fell flat on it's face for feeling so bare-bones and not having any creativity/life put into it

Simultaneously happy and pissed that people are catching on just how stupid priced games with microtransactions are. That's basically shinobi striker in a nutshell. A fun yet extremely massive pay to win game with a price tag.
