Detachable Blade Clippers history should you buy one in 2024? bgrc classic 76 Supra zr2 andis

When I brought a corded Classic 76 to school people looked at me like I was crazy. The younger crowd just doesn't care much for detachable blade clippers anymore I guess. She's big, loud, and bulky but man do I love her!

It's misunderstood. It's an essential tool for any barber. You can unlock the potential to cut hair WAY faster. There are many fade techniques as well. Keep using detachable it will pay off big time

Thanks for the video. I just spent two years going part time to barber school. I have my license now. But last year, I bought an Oster Titan and some blades. One thing I noticed right away is how good the cut hair looks with the detachables. It is a whole other level of quality. They can get warm and do require maintenance once in a while but they do cut great. I just received an Oster 76 from Black Friday. I haven’t even used it yet. But after your video, I’ll be looking closer at the Andis products. Thanks for sharing.

@@ChelanClipper 76 is the original king in this detachable world! I never had the pleasure of trying the new cordless 76. Looks great though. You can't go wrong with any of them in my opinion. Try and buy a cordless clipper is money is not an option. I may have a link for a cheap oster a5 cordless clipper for you to consider. The a5 is exactly the same as the 76 but marked to animal groomers. They usually come in different colors as well. As for my my zr2 it has never let me down. Sorry for the long comment. The Andis Pulse and the new Andis Emerge are in my arsenal. Seems like detachable have been kinda forgotten but they seem to be coming back. Fading with blades is fire. The phat master blade is coming back also

Absolutely agree! It's a shame I didn't really truly understand the potential until recently. Also it's definitely an advanced technique using them. I wanna try the emerge 👀

I'm sorry I have no opinion on those I've never used them. However if they use the same metal blades as the supra and 76 I can't see any issue with them.

My Oster blades don’t cut certain hair texture ?? Is it the blades or my Supra zr2

Probably the blades. Older blades seem to have trouble cutting very fine hair. You could also double check it the metal bades are even and if the screws are tight. Let me know if that helps.

You can buy cheap ceramic blades on eBay (the moving top blade) and temu they are like 5 bucks or less. Or one last option you can sharpen your existing blades buy using sand paper check youtube I saw a few great tutorials on that

@@drusantana it was the fine hair that didn’t cut sir. Which do you prefer the Oster blades or the andis blades?? I have a mixture of both. I also appreciate the detachable blade videos and the barber knowledge 🔥🙌🏽

Anyone considering a detachable clipper.... Don't get the andis outliner blade it's basically useless... Get the oster 00000 blade

@@DWPofficial2024 good to know! I was curious about that blade. When ever you buy a blade like that remember you can make it sorter by zer0 gapping it just like a liner. I wouldn't put that outliner blade to the side just yet...it's worth a shot
