Attempting to change out all my pads and rotors for the first time on my Accord 2017 Sport SE, your video was the most useful and explained every tool. Thank you.

@@fluentinsilence Glad I could help! I was hesitant doing this myself as well since it can get tricky. I have a video for the rear brake pads as well 👌

I just did my front pads and rotors prior to watching this video. The torque specs I came across were: Front Caliper retaining bolts - 14mm - 30 ft lbs Front Caliper bracket bolts - 17mm - 80 ft lbs Wheel lug nuts - 19mm - 80 ft lbs For those having trouble with the cross-pattern rotor retention screw: that screw uses a #3 JIS screwdriver or hex bit. A#3 FLAT ENDED phillips bit will work in a pinch. A standard phillips screwdriver might strip the screw if it’s being stubborn.

I had that same noise and determined it was coming from the rear using the E brake while reversing

Nope! Always frustrating not knowing where it's coming from

Great video BTW. Saved me a lot of time

@@erabbit777 Thanks! Yes very easy to lose time in the little details. I for example added the screw in the wrong hole and that added 35 minutes to the process

Hi, Can you share the front rotor and brake pads list in amazon. I don’t see that in the amazon list
I added the front brakes & Rotors. I recommend the Bosch set, and rotors, or the painted hat rotors

Hi thanks for commenting, I show them all in the video, but writing a list for you would take a while. Thanks for understanding

On your rear brakes video you used Bosch brake pads but on the front you used wagner brake pads. Was there a reason for that?
@Striker50_ Жыл бұрын
Nope, just whatever came up on Amazon with decent reviews. Sometimes it's hard to find the matching set on the Internet so I just go with what's convenient

I have same problem with that black rubber ring that you got rid of at the bottom gliding pin. Did you notice anything after taking it off or do I need to buy new once?

Thanks for taking the time to reach out The front pads don't have spring clips, but the rear pads do
@masteru71046 ай бұрын
The squeal is due to the missing spring clip
@Striker50_5 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing! If you watch the full video it ended up being the rear brakes that needed to be replaced. It still squealed after I was done with the front

3 ton or 2 ton jack stands?
@Striker50_10 ай бұрын
2 tons should be fine since this car weighs like 3600 LBS and you're not supporting 100% of the weight. Doesn't hurt to get 3 ton in case you have other cars
