I'm Canadian and would ask that the world stand with us and participate in our boycott of American products. Canada is a peaceful nation, and we need to send a powerful yet peaceful message to the US. This form of aggression is not ok. We will not play Ukraine to Trumps Russia. Starving us out is no different than guns and bombs. Don't be fooled.

Someone needs to be monitoring trump, trump family, trump business, trump administration personal for what they are doing with stocks. Did they short stocks before announcing tariffs? Are they buying stocks that dropped prices and then selling after tariffs are lifted? All business transactions including kick backs and bribes for putting on tariffs and removing tariffs. What used to be normal watch dog activities on all presidents before 2015. This kind of actions can't be considered to fall under presidential action but under personal non presidential acts.

The question is why does he do that? He already tried tariffs in his first term. They did not work. The US deficit increased, manufacturing jobs did not return and the US government did not make money because it had to compensate the people suffering under the tariffs. I think he wants to generate revenues that are not called "taxes". He can blame anyone for rising prices but his supporters won't get it. The middle class and the poor will pay the tariffs indirectly, this finances tax cuts for the oligarchs.

When our biggest refineries were built we imported most of our petroleum from OPEC. In fact, oil refineries today are way too time=$ to build. These 'cracking plants' were not designed to make diesel, jet fuel, gasoline, efficiently. Canada's primary stash is closer to OPEC' s 'heavy' oil. Trump and Trump lovers may not realize this, we, the US CANNOT make gasoline easily from 'deeply fracked shale sourced ultra-light oil because of the OPEC connection. The worst part? Shale oil is peaking. Canada is our biggest supplier. (of heavy oil) Since China, India, are still growing , taking much of OPEC + Russian oil, Canada is the new OPEC, to USA.

As long as Trump is your President I'll try to avoid anything American made. I look forward to the laughing emojis in the comments, and you can look forward to expensive clothes, electronics and something called books

Economics for Dummies - part 3 Trade Deficits are NOT the same as Subsidies ! Got it? Trade Deficits over time will probably increase the National Debt. (Ref. Lessons 1 and 2)

there was a time when i kept wondering why some people seemed to naturally draw others in while i was just…there. no matter what i tried, i couldn’t figure out how they did it. then someone mentioned the book Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and i decided to check it out. the way it explains how your aura affects everything around you? it blew me away. it’s like having a secret code to unlock your magnetic energy. this book is a game-changer.

LMFAO good luck, you import 85% of your products. Welcome to the internet, there is lots of information you could be using, but go ahead and ignore that.

There is a reason people bought from foreign countries. Because made in America became exorbitantly expensive. But good news - besides absorbing the cost of tariffs for whatever foreign goods are actually imported... Americans will also absorb the increased cost of domestic goods produced to replace those that are not imported. Won't that be wonderful?

American made products will also increase as companies with long-term contracts with Canada and Mexico will be spreading the increase in consumer price across their product line to prevent sticker shock. The higher costs will also be due to substituting American made parts on such a short notice period.

Tariff is a good thing for Americans. Prices will go up and hopefully 1000 times, then our national debt will become more manageable from 36 trillion and counting to a mere 36 billion worth, about the same amount we gave away to a small middle east country last year. Elon Musk won't be happy though, he will only be worth a few millions.

We must ignore climate change and the big picture. And, the tremendous cost fracking will have. And, the US clearly aren't dependent on China. You, yourself manufacture TVs, phones, MAGA hats. Or any other country, I mean who needs propellers in a Boeing plane anyway
