Fun fact: nickels from 1942-1945 were made of 35% silver. They're called war time nickels. Silver was removed from the U.S. Coin Mint in 1965.

The real threat to going around on the beach barefoot is possibly lethal by stepping on a used syringe...I personally have found them... they're not that rare... Much worse than stepping on a big gooey worm... Also, broken glass beer bottles and jagged pieces of aluminum cans... Beach Sox are a very good way to avoid suchlike...🙏😔 Be careful and always Be Blessed...

The core’s TDI is all over the place period! That machine needs to tighten up its range! You have to dig everything with the core!

I've gotten a lot more used to the targets. I find that the tone gives me more information than the VDI. It really helps with target identification

I didn't even see my name on the list😂 congrats, winner! On the upside, though, I found three rings this week with the 900, so I guess I'm a winner after all.😊

Congrats!!! I just went back and looked. You had replied to someone else's comment, and didn't make your own comment. That's why I didn't see your name when I made the list. I'm sorry!

Love your videos. One request: please match the volume level of your intro music to your voice level in the video -- it's much too loud now, annoys other people in the house.

I have a ring just like that silver ring. it's a typical style sold at powwows. it makes the circuit. One of the mass produced ones.I got mine at an intertribal powwow in the fl panhandle hosted by a local band of the creek tribe.

Great hunt! Would you mind posting what kind of settings and sensitivity you were able to run in the water with the Manticore?
@DetectFlorida Жыл бұрын
I'm running the surf and seawater program using the full tone range. Sensitivity is at 16, and the machine runs very stable. I'll start working on custom programs once I get a little more time behind the machine

One thing I really like about your videos is that you don’t include the sounds from the metal detector.

Thanks! I actually had a few people complain that they don't like it that they can't hear the sounds of my machine now that I'm using a new detector 😂

What type of boots do you wear in the water, that don't have metal on them?
@DetectFlorida8 ай бұрын
I use Mares Trilastic boots. I haven't found anything better out there. They're neoprene sneaker-soled dive boots that zip up the side
@robschorr62018 ай бұрын
@@DetectFlorida thank you for the reply. I'm assuming the zippers aren't metal. That's been my biggest problem with water boots.

Have you ever found any silver dollars?
@DetectFlorida Жыл бұрын
Not yet! I've found a number of silver half dollars, and a few of the newer gold dollar coins, but those old silver monsters have always eluded me. It's hard to find old silver at the beaches here. It does happen, but its usually just dimes and quarters!
