Wrong Batwoman. The one we all know today is Kate Kane. The original one is Kathy Kane. No relation. Oh, and that Batwoman from 2003, Mystery Of The Batwoman, that was THREE wonen, taking turns operating in the suit so they dont draw attention to each other. It may not have been a middle finger when there were already multiple Batwomen before Kate was created in 2006.

It's neat that Batgirl, who could just be seen as just someone copying Batman, teams up with Batman to stop a guy who makes money by ripping off Batman's style down to even having his own moth mobile. Also, I had initially thought the video might be about Montoya when Linkara mentioned that it would focus on a character who first appeared on a batman-related show.

That would be interesting, though he might want to first do Question, even if that gets into a whole thing like with the original Blue Beetle and several other characters originally not in DC comics, but Charlton, which I only learned via the DC Showcase of Blue Beetle making a little in joke. That short (not sure if you can watch it independently through streaming, I had to buy Long Halloween Part 2) was more in the vein of 60s pulp with promotionals about comics, like the Charlton Action Heroes (Question, Blue Beetle, Nightshade and Captain Atom all featured as heroes, plus the villain Dr. Spectro). Peacemaker, at least some version of him, also originated there, which is interesting.

That would have been good timing, with the *Gotham* Renée Montoya, played by Victoria Cartagena, reprises her role in the (terrible, so far) season 3 of *Batwoman* I wanted to at least watch the 5th episode, *"A Lesson from Professor Pyg"* , because I love me some Prof Pygmalion, and this particular episode is directed by my man David Ramsey (aka Diggle aka future Green Lantern). But yeah, it turned out to be a piece of shit. Much like the Mad Hatter in this same season 3, the *Batwoman* Prof Pyg doesn't hold a candle to the *Gotham* version of the character. I stuck by season 2 because my man Black Mask was a great Big Bad, but without him to carry the entire show I can say with confidence that this will be the last episode of that show I'll ever watch. ... I mean, they teased Flamingo at the end of last episode, and Eduardo Flamingo has been a favorite minor Batfam-rogue of mine since times immemorial (and he was pretty badass in *Gotham* even if sadly he only appeared in one episode) I'm kinda curious as to how they'll butcher him, but I'll just watch clips on youtube. Maybe. Probably... Dang it :'(

@@randallflagg3700 Only having a bit of exposure to Pyg, I enjoyed what they did here, even if he might've been a bit theatrical. The character is tough to do justice, esp. if the Gotham version really emphasizes and shows off his psychotic nature that was part of his inception as a new part of the rogues gallery. They ended that episode with the character dead, but teasing a new version of Joker seemingly (given that they confirmed in S2 he was killed by Batman), so there's that way to get around the embargo, similar to other characters that are limited. Poison Ivy being in a relationship with Montoya was also noted in that episode, possibly an original concept, though I recall she and Batwoman or another prominent female character were in a relationship (maybe from Batman Bad Blood, iirc, where she and Kate talked about their past fling)

@@randallflagg3700 as a batwoman comic fan, Batwoman (Kate Kane) has dated both Renee Montoya (this goes back as far as the weekly series 52) and Maggie Sawyer (they shared a dance in 2010 before starting to date in the new 52)She’s had other love interests, but those are the two of note. In fact, Kate was supposed to marry Maggie in 2014 or 2015, but DC editorial nixed it. They stated that it was because they didn’t want main tier superheroes to get hitched as it would make them boring (completely forgetting that Aquaman Superman and the Flash (I think) we’re all married at this time). The Batwoman creative team of JH Williams III and William Blackman felt it had to do with it being a gay wedding and left the book in protest. And no, poison ivy and Montoya have never dated in the comics. Montoya despite being created in the early 90s, wasnt confirmed gay until 2003 with the excellent Rucka/Brubaker penned series Gotham Central and the five part story Half a Life. She has also had several love interests but Kate Kane is the only one of note.

The Batgirl vs Killer moth fight in the great 2003 *"Batgirl: Year One"* _[by Chuck Dixon & Scott Beatty]_ is also an homage to this comic; actually, it's more like extended (9 issues long) edition of 'tec #359 , where Killer Moth is still Barbara's first official Big Bad, but instead of the Moth-goons, Killer Moth recruits Firefly to help him with his Moth-signal protection racket. Since the 2022 Batgirl movie has already revealed that Brendan Fraser with play Firefly, I keep hoping that they'll announce Killer Moth's actor ASAP, I want to believe... >< Killer Moth also had a pretty damn cool apparition in *Batgirl Rebirth* #37 & #38 , where he decides to take her out once and for all, in a callback to their first encounter, but with both characters having way more experience and much cooler gadgets \o/ I've always found it funny in Gail Simone's *Birds of Prey* , when Barbara confesses to Lady Blackhawk (she was telling her her most embarrassing secrets) that when started out as a vigilante, she had the biggest crush on Killer Moth because his voice sounded cool.

Let's be honest - as much as everybody makes fun of Killer Moth and his Silver Age costume, we all love it. It's goofy, sure, but in the best way possible and way better than the needlessly grim and cynical "Charaxes" redesign he got in Underworld Unleashed. I think we can all agree that other than later artists smartly updating the cape into wings, Infantino nailed it with this design and its always fun seeing KM pop up in this outfit.

Okay, that was a pretty fun storyline segment, especially with the Dr. Linksano stuff. But I gotta say, while the new place has grown on me, that basement is too small for proper fights. The fights done at your old apartment like against Vyce or your mirror double, as well as those done at your last places, such as against Freddie Cruger in your preliminary match and your first match against that prince guy, were a lot more dynamic and allowed you to move around more because of the hallways. I hope when you face Bandit Cheif in the Finals the fight is either somewhere more open to the fight is a simplistic one that can be done in that smaller basement, like a card game, board game, thumb war, or video game.

@@jordanhunter3375 If it had been damaged they would have been fine, as Moarte would be going back into his coffin for a full year, giving them plenty of time to fix it before he wakes back up and also presumably move it somewhere else until next October to give Linkara and the gang more room down there. However, that makes me wonder where Moarte's coffin is in the new place. Back at the old place I always assumed it was in one of the two closets in the basement or in that extra room we saw Linksano standing in when they confronted 90s Kid and Vcye, which I presume was maybe a Laundry Room or another storage room. But in this new place I don't know if there's a closet downstairs they can store Moarte in until October and if there is there may only be one closet down there which means they have to find a new place for Snow Flame to sleep. So in that case, Linkara and Vviga get the bedrooms to sleep, Poyo and Eliza are small so they can bunk with them, 90s Kid gets the couch, either one upstairs or the one in the basement Linkara uses for reviews, Moarte gets a closet and I guess Snow Flame sleeps in the bathroom, which is probably the safest place in case he starts a fire while he's smoking.

I see they really went with the Hot Goth Librarian for the initial character profile of Barbra Gordon. Demure glasses? Check. Bunned hair? Check. Synched waistline? Check.
