The baby before going home her umbilical cord tested positive for meth. Why in the world was she sent home with her parents
@lynnegackstetter27795 ай бұрын
Yup. Obviously they still think babies and small children are just like disposable lighters. When they are done with them they just toss them away.
@ook4285 ай бұрын
Maybe overworked doctors or staff that go over that data. But also there is a huge problem on finding people to take care of a baby. Give them love and parts of themselves, knowing the biological parents will probably get that child back. Also the people willing to do that. Some of them end up being evil shits. It's all a mess. And all the USA politics care about it weather to abolish abortion or give abortion to his money people as possible. No one cares to think about how to care for the children that are being born today!
@HaywoodJablomi_4205 ай бұрын
That's crazy. When I had my son I was on Medicaid and they had to send a nurse to my house a week after I brought him home to do a check up. It's wild to me that every state doesn't do that, it would probably help so man babies. Side note: I was not on drugs or anything like that, they told us it was just a mandatory check up that they do here in Utah. I was glad they did because she helped me with breastfeeding feeding because my son was having trouble latching.

Also, so many of them say "my kids are my life" or "I don't know what I'd do without my kids" when they're talking about them. It's like they're are trying to convince people that they care. So if they gave them up, they wouldn't be able to say those things all the time. Unfortunately, I know from experience of what I speak. I know several addicts and have a few relatives that are as well. And if u watch an arrest or any footage on documentary that covers interrogations with an addict, it's like their go-to comments, right off the bat. 🙄

The hospital failed therefore are liable in her passing. Should be sued n funds put in trust for siblings they should all be locked up in gen pop for life I said what I said!

That’s not the point. DCF/CPS is *notorious* for “dropping the ball” & children “falling through the cracks”. The point is others in the system knew and did NOT protect this baby. First responsibility is BOTH parents, not just the mother, so mom failed, dad failed, the hospital and the system failed… soooo many failed this baby. Addiction… it 💯 turns people into something else … and meth is completely over takes a person at some point. I’ve watched it happen to a close family member (in my home). That baby had two parents and as born in a hospital and … and … and… they ALL failed her. I can only hope 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼that her death now has saved her from a horrific life… that would have been highly traumatic.

@@DEEP3X402it means the mom ingested meth and just like food , the meth was traveling from the mom to the infant in the womb via the umbilical cord.

@DEEP3X402 it means that while the mother was pregnant she was actively doing meth. When a pregnant mother does meth, or any illegal drugs, those drugs then pass through the placenta to the baby, which go into the embelical cord. When children are born the doctors take a piece of the cord and test it for any illegal drug use.

I’m totally confused about the baby not being taken away when they were still in the hospital. That’s ridiculous, it’s insane. I don’t know what the laws are in Kentucky so I can only speak for the state I live in and I can use my experience with these type of situations because I use to be a nurse. First of all, the fact that children were already taken from this family tells me that Kentucky CPS is not doing their job. There are reasons why children are taken away from their parents, they didn’t just take them away for no reasons. Therefore, if the parents want the other children back, they have to work towards it. Like getting off of drugs, cleaning the house, taking parenting classes, get a steady job, have food in the house, beds for all of the children to sleep in and, most importantly they have to detox from the drugs they use. These parents did not do the work to get the children back, obviously. All of this would’ve been in their CPS files, so why was it okay for them to take this precious baby home? The most defenseless child they had was the one they got to keep? Again, that’s insane. I have a cousin that was literally high on meth when she went into labor. They tested her urine and her baby was not allowed to go home with her when they received the proof that she had meth in her system. Which automatically means the baby will have it in her system as well. Yes, they would have to get definitive proof through an actual blood test, but in the meantime, a preliminary urine test is enough to get the baby taken into a safe home while they wait on the labs to come in. I tested plenty of people for drugs using their urine. Also, the blood test for the adult (the mother) is not going to take as long for results. Again, if the mother has it in her system when she’s about to give birth, the baby has been exposed in more ways than one. After they checked that very quickly, saw the blood test results and then looked into the fact that 3 other children were removed, they should’ve never let them walk out of that hospital with Miya. CPS needs to be overhauled in every single state in the US. This sort of thing happens way too much and it’s at least some of CPS’s fault that Miya died. CPS is culpable for all the cases that they’ve dropped. If they can’t handle the workload, CPS will need to bring in more workers. If they’re getting burned out…simply pay them more. People don’t realize how hard it is working at CPS3
