When you read the report, the reason he was found guilty of murder is because witnesses stated after Hillman defended himself and knocked the man out, lying there in his own blood, Hillman then proceeded to kick the man with steel toed boots in the face and body multiple times.. Those blows is what ultimately killed HIM.. Had he left the scene and not did anymore harm, he would have been fine. Those choices to continue fighting unprovoked is why it was considered murder at that point..Case closed..

As a retired detective, I hated to see the secondary interviewer lose his cool and berate the guy like that. His partner does a masterful job and gets a confession out of him and he risks getting the whole interview tossed out because he didn't like how the kid behaves? I love these videos because I loved the tradecraft of interviewing people. If two interviewers are used, unless they have strategized who is asking what, the secondary sits there and is quiet. You have to leave the ego at the door.
