When you read the report, the reason he was found guilty of murder is because witnesses stated after Hillman defended himself and knocked the man out, lying there in his own blood, Hillman then proceeded to kick the man with steel toed boots in the face and body multiple times.. Those blows is what ultimately killed HIM.. Had he left the scene and not did anymore harm, he would have been fine. Those choices to continue fighting unprovoked is why it was considered murder at that point..Case closed..

i was thinking this... if he ws chocked i would hope he would be free if he had fought back. but once he had won and dude was on ground the face that he then kicked the dude is what gets him. i would think a person could argue wel the dude was going to get back up and attack me again so i had to make sure he was disabled. when you think about it if the kid hit the man and he fell on the floor and then the kid tried to run to his mortercycle but what if the old man got up and chased him and pulled him off his mortercycle and then hurt the kid more so in the kids fear of that happening and because of the old mans agression of trying to run him off the rode he made sure he hurt the man enough to where he would not get up and the kid could escape??

I'm a black guy who grew up in a dirt poor hood but got the opportunity to move to a small town suburb and go to a decent highschool. Two actually. The school was amazing! But... I've seen this character in each of those schools. Parents with money, thinks he's tough because he wrestles or play football, (in this case "heavy weight boxer) bully, girls gush over him because he's handsome and stupid, gets away with everything because his parents have money. All of this enables him to be an egotistic jackass. This is what happens to your kids when you show little to no respect for anyone in front of them.

As a retired detective, I hated to see the secondary interviewer lose his cool and berate the guy like that. His partner does a masterful job and gets a confession out of him and he risks getting the whole interview tossed out because he didn't like how the kid behaves? I love these videos because I loved the tradecraft of interviewing people. If two interviewers are used, unless they have strategized who is asking what, the secondary sits there and is quiet. I teach elementary school and so often, I see these little princes and princesses being moulded by their parents to become potential serial killers. Whenever the school tries to impose some sort of discipline, the parents come in to fight the child’s corner. As a child in the ‘60s, my parents would have allowed the school punishment and then imposed a far worse punishment on me at home!
