I’m almost 5 months sober and it’s different for everyone but I’m very careful on saying I’ll never drink or do drugs again but I also got help just to give it a shot because I didn’t want to die. For a long time when I was using I didn’t care if I lived or died so it was a big step for me to start caring. I haven’t seriously craved since the first couple months when I was still in rehab but I really can’t tell the future. I just know that I want to give this recovery thing an honest try and if I want to go back to using drugs after I can but I will be better off for trying. I’m just focused on doing what I can to see what life as adult is like sober. I still have mental health issues but atleast now it’s way easier to deal with them

Clean 5yrs now from heroin. Best thing I heard in one of the 6 rehabs I was in....”would you rather keep doing the one thing you’re doing, and lose everything? Or would you rather keep everything and lose the one thing you’re doing?” I had lost my job. My home. All materials possessions. My looks. My family. My self respect & dignity. My MORALS. Now today I got all those things back and am the girl I always knew I was inside. The one my parents raised me to be. I started to accept the fact that I was just going to be a hopeless junkie. But I decided to try one more time. I promise it’s possible. Life is beautiful and I pray for everyone still living that life. I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.

When hearing about these addiction stories and the climb they took to drugs like heroin there always seems to be one common trend, age. Every time they start drinking/smoking around middle school. Never touched anything till I was 17, still bad but waiting a couple of years seems to have deterred me and many others away from harder drugs. Maybe because instead of seeking Percocets in high school I gotta worry about studying for them finals.

They teach us about drugs here in Canada and I'm not gonna lie they are honestly so useless.
@AndrewLemmings5 жыл бұрын
Drug education mostly says everything but the truth. They tell you drugs make you feel terrible and it's all bad blah blah blah. Yeah after so long it does. But in the beginning, they highs are incredible and amazing. And these kids who try it who are genetically predisposed to addiction will think they are lying, and continue using drugs and then eventually, yes they do turn on you and eventually it's not longer fun. It feels like your walking on glass and living in hell. And once it's impossible to quit on your own without hell, that's when it becomes impossible. And you do it to not be dope sick, to be able to function normally. And it just feels like you're taking medication prescribed by a doctor that doesn't make you feel anything but normal and functional. If they bring drug education as a subject for schools, they should teach about how it will be in the beginning, and the science behind the drugs, and behind addiction, the short term effects, long term effects, and about the different recovery options such as medication assisted treatment, intensive outpatient rehabilitation, in patient rehabilitation, sober living facilities, 12 Step AA and NA, drug court programs, etc. Everything people should be educated on because most families have at least one family member that suffers with addiction. Education is key.

I thought ecstasy wasnt very addictive
@elevatedmindz477 жыл бұрын
Teen Vegans ecstasy is a derivative of methamphenamine. Its full name is 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine. Its just as addictive as meth if you mis- use it. MDMA is just meth that makes you horny. Its healthier on the body then meth but not the mind
@chase42047 жыл бұрын
MDMA is very addictive if abused which is why it’s recommended that anyone taking it recreationally should wait 2-3 months in between doses to let serotonin levels replenish
@TheTurtleneck647 жыл бұрын
Teen Vegans its only a little bit more addictive than alcohol. it being related chemically to meth isnt that significant and also it does NOT make you horny edit: it is still fairly addictive, i didn't mean to make it seem not addictive by comparing it to alcohol
@insaneplane48717 жыл бұрын
ElevatedMindz just because MDMA has got methamphetamine in its name it doesn't have to mean very much. In fact you can not guess the pharmacology of a drug just relying on it's structure. MDMA is not nearly as addictive as Methamphetamine although even Meth is not as addictive as most people think. Don't get me wrong tho. MDMA can be addictive but it is not that big of a deal in comparison to other compounds. The 3 months of break are a general thumb rule to be sure to prevent brain damage.
@ImKittyCow7 жыл бұрын
ElevatedMindz ohmgmmgmgod just because something has the name “methamphetamine” in the name doesnt mean they are related in their affects, mdma isnt even a stimulant wtf. Mdma isnt physically addictive at all, but it can be abused because people become psychologically obsessed with the high and abuse it every weekend. But even in cases of abuse, there arent physical withdrawals like with other drugs. There can be MDMA depressions but those arent from withdrawal, those will still persist of the user keeps taking mdma.

Yeah Bioidenticals are awesome i get mine mixed up by Collier Compounding check them out! My doctorknew I had a temper at times so she said no at first try but once i quit sleeping at all on top of about 5 other common symptoms she was real quick to put me on it. She called this place that makes Bioidenticals this guy instantly named off all my symptoms i was having. Andrew from Collier Compounding is super smart. Do you know much on using testosterone creams? I won't use the injections it freaks me out but heck im just 29 and my testosterone numbers were 200ng . A normal adult is pumping 900-1200ng of testosterone normally without any help.

Jackscran not all drugs. Psychedelics such as LSD, Shrooms, and DMT can teach you a lot about yourself if you treat it as a learning experience rather than a good time. After tripping on LSD I learned a lot about myself and how I was too focused on what other people thought that it was what was really getting in the way of me being me
