I felt for her tho, I have 2 doughters, one of them(14 yrs) have anxiety issues also very painful menstrual cykles but I would never alow any doctor to perscribe her so many drugs cos I know they dont cure and are just a band aid-thats why I talk to her a lot, when she has her episodes I put her in my lab and listen to her with love&understanding, make her some pepermint tea etc.yea it takes lots of comitment/time, she didnt choose to feel this way& she is a child, no child should be on 10 meds daily cos adults dont have time for their isuess.. This whole system is so upside down-they just give you tones of pills&hope to put you off their backs and then we wonder why we deal with addiction in such a wide spectrume!? We shouldnt ignore feelings of one another and mask them with drugs instead of listening&talking trough them and give drugs only when we have no other option!

The difference when looking into a recovering addicts eyes telling their story. We've been through the ringer and a friend's father once said to me, "when you all come back home off the streets it's like coming home from a war zone. You see things that people in the last days of their lives could never imagine witnessing." That really hit me in the core made me realize some things. We know how horrible it can be out there but nothing is that horrible when you've heard so many other recovery stories that are hundred times worse than what i may have experienced there's always someone who had it worse out there. This woman is so strong she talks about the bad things that happened to her like it just is a part of her now.

u must be uneducated. alcohol is a serious drug that is over looked by society. it kills thousands of people each year. it destroys your brain and liver. IT VERY ADDICTIVE. PEOPLE SUFFER FROM ADDICTION OF ALCOHOL. it’s very easy to abuse it. just because it’s legal doesn’t take away from the fact that it isn’t a drug. no the government would never display the negative side of alcohol because of the money brought in from it. UNTIL YOU HAVE FIRST HAND FELT THE AFFECTS OF ALCOHOLISM, YOU CANT NOT SAY ITS NOT A DRUG. people are dying, it tears homes and families part. please understand that just because it is legal does not mean it can’t b abused and people can’t become addicted. ur comment shows ignorance

Ladyhmcgaga 17 . I don’t know if you have a kindergarten education or something. But alcohol also referred to by its chemical name ethanol is a psychoactive drug. Alcohol is categorized under psychoactive drugs such as cocaine, lsd, etc. It is classified as a depressant drug. You realized it has the addictive traits as many other drugs and kills thousands. JUST BECAUSE IT IS LEGAL DOES NOT MEAN IT IS NOT A DANGEROUS DRUG. therefore yes alcohol is a chemical drug it’s just a legal drug. Hope you learned a little u can google “is alcohol a drug” and it will tell u yes
@beckyann52285 жыл бұрын
Ladyhmcgaga 17 also i love how you used the word chemically as if you took chemistry ever. Alcohol’s chemical name is ethanol and the it’s chemical compound is C2H5OH. anyways in days lesson we learned that alcohol is a psychoactive drug.

I have endometriosis and adenomyosis, as well. I was put on a narcotic schedule at age 19. Then policies suddenly changed (some years later) and I was taken off it all. That started my downward spiral of buying drugs on the streets and doing what I had to do to get the money (which got me a criminal record). I wish I had EVER heard of Suboxone, because I would have gone to get that, rather than what I did do. I had no idea that I could get Suboxone or methadone or anything. I didn’t think of myself as an addict at that point because I only was thinking of myself as someone who got taken off my pain medicine so I had to buy it on the streets. But then the things that they sell you on the streets were so much stronger and different that eventually I was addicted and knew I had to seek help for addiction. I’m just saying I wish there was something there to bridge that gap in peoples thinking from being pain patients to needing to seek addiction help. That’s what’s great about a story like this coming out. I’m hoping that I can use what I experience to help other people in the future, just like this girl is doing.

The amount of ignorance and arrogance from this comment is just something else 😂😂 I would've, you should've, I wouldn't have; all words that mean fuck all. Pretty easy to say what you would do in someone else's shoes, maybe try living out their whole life, with all of their circumstances and then you can say what you "would've for sure done". Otherwise save your unintelligent only - use - things - from - mother - nature - because - you - can't - get addicted - opinions to your stoner self. What you dont realise is weed can be the one of most subtle, yet hardest addictions for many to conquer. When you have a sudden realisation 10 years from now, that your life has turned into something you never wanted, someone will tell you the same thing. Just FYI, I fucking love weed and I plan to smoke a hell of a lot more in my life. I just can't stand people who smoke and ignorantly believe that they are superior, solely because they "only smoke weed" etc etc.

Thank you for sharing. I have to admit I cried through a lot of this and could relate to a degree. I stopped at pills. Thank God!! But I’ve been off of benzos and subs going on a year and 5 months. I thought it would get easier and probably would if I was working a program. I was being so regimented and at least attending meetings but I’ve missed the last 3 weeks. I have many fears but was on the benzos for 22 years. I’ve never made it this far off of them and I keep thinking I will just wake up one day and no longer think that I need them. Hard to explain. Nevertheless, it’s a lot of work (to me personally) staying off of them … trying to get and accept help of therapist if my insurance would ever cover a good one!! Insurance has or had no problems paying for addictive medications but they don’t pay to treat the “real problems” or root causes for so called “needing” addictive (controlled) meds. Guess it does no good to look back upon that fact. This is the FIRST video I’ve watched pertaining to hooked on scripts. Thank you again. You are beautiful!!
