Thanks for uploading this. Things of this nature and musical culture really need to be available and seen. There was alot more to these brothers than performing on stage.

James was looking strong and healthy during this period of time Also one of the few times in his career where he sported a moustache. Like Warren Zevon said, "His hair was perfect". James was Boss!

He wore a mustache from late 1973 or early 1974 until sometime in 1978.

I wish I had gotten to meet Mr. Bown cause he and Mr. Hunter are similar personalities. My dad had not been around me but expected me to know him. I did before he passed though. I only wish my eldest son was like my dad more except for one thing is that he miss treat women.

Great Interview! I Love To Hear The Godfather Of Soul Speak! Yes I Hated Disco Round This Time 1978! I'm Glad Disco Died The Way It Died Because Mr. Brown Kept On Pushing! Long Live The Godfather Of Soul! Thanks For Posting!

+richard davis,jr. Disco was okay. it's an art form. Disco wasn't all bad. Mr. Brown hated Disco because it replace his brand of Soul music at the time, and it was new. One of the biggest records ever sold next to Michael Jackson Thrilla ;Saturday Night Fever a Disco record.James had a huge EGO.. I guess you had to have some Ego with only a 7th grade education to make it during those times.

Cool interview but the real treat for me was stumbling upon that Griot Galaxy clip afterward... I hadn't heard of them. Thanks for uploading! Do you have more episodes of this TV show, such as the whole Griot Galaxy May 11 episode? The date fits too, as JB said this was taped on his birthday.
