17:58 I was doing some research on Franzen one day because he was my favorite non-superstar to watch on this team and I was curious of the circumstances that led to his early departure from the NHL. I read on his Wikipedia page that he held the record for the fastest (playoff?) hat trick because of the first three goals of this game, and it never mentioned that the goal was later credited to Bertuzzi, making it not a record anymore. I went and watched footage of the game (presumably yours lol) and checked box scores to double and triple check that this was what happened, and being confident enough in my research I made my first and only edit to a Wikipedia page ever. I'm sure you already knew that the goal was given to Bert and not Franzen, but for a split second I wondered if you learned about it from my edit and it got me a little excited lmao. Great stuff as usual!

Crazy how so many guys just get worse as they get past that first year in the Show. I think it's a shitty work ethic with many of them. They start to think they shouldn't have to do the hard things or go hound pucks, and prima Donnas are born.

Nice summer treat awood! Was at the Garpenlov (not televised) and Franzen/SJ games. Went with my best bud to the StL game, which turned out to be hos last. Died in his sleep 10 days later after playing in his Sunday night hockey league.

Ivan Bolderev - would have lost money on that one. Somewhat surprised/disappointed in one aspect of this so far. I believe it should be mandatory when playing any part of the "Patrick Roy last game" that you have to show him storming off the bench "Dis is my last game as a Canadien". It never gets tired (same as his "Statue of Liberty Save" at a critical time in a critical game). Koslov's 4 goal game is my second favourite highlight of his. My first involves Adam Deadmarsh's face, a corner of the rink, and the glass. My overwhelming thought after watching this - we have been blessed with some great talent on this team. Lidstrom, Coffey, Yzerman. Fedorov, Konstantinov, Shanny, and on and on. Great vid awood. Quality stuff.

With all due respect, these are "Single-Player 4-Goal Games". But we love the Wings, in any case. Thanks for reminding us of what a treasure Sergei Fedorov was when he wore red and white. I have a silver round commemorating his NHL career.

Franzen getting 4 goals in 11 minutes was insane. I'm still mad that they wrongfully gave the first goal to Bertuzzi who didn't make contact. So it was really a five goal game for The Mule. I went and bought his jersey after this.

What did that puck hit? It sure looks like it hit Bertuzzi’s leg in this video. Maybe it was the goalie instead? Hard for me to tell though

@@scooter2161 They did show another angel where it was clear it hit the goalie and not Bertuzzi, its just not shown here. You can find it you look around KZbin.

For the record, Bertuzzi himself confirmed that the puck hit his leg. Here's a blurb from an MLive article after the game ended: Todd Bertuzzi, however, knew the puck deflected in off his leg. The scoring change was made during the intermission. And Bertuzzi was slightly concerned about the reaction he would receive from the Joe Louis Arena crowd after fans learned Franzen scored "only" three goals in the first period. "I was like, 'If they announce it, I'm going to get booed out of here,' '' Bertuzzi said, smiling, following his team's 7-1 win in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals. "So I was a little reluctant to take it. "Just standing in front of the net, it ended up hitting me. But goals are goals, who cares who gets them?"

The only instance of this I can recall was Mathieu Schneider vs the Coyotes in October of 2006. The crowd was unaware he had just scored a hat trick.
