Nothing Is Sacred not if he takes up a roster spot for a guy like svechnikov or turgeon or Rasmussen. It would have been an ok signing if you were a contender and needed a guy to protect your talent. But all he did was block anyone from being called up until there was an injury. Blashill wants his western boys even if they suck.

besides whiski bringing somebody that'll stand up to cheap shot artist he also leads by hustling like crazy . and with all the newbies coming up hes important to have around to give them some back up . plus we aint winning anything for a few years so it dont matter that he doesnt bring any offense , on this roster what he brings is more important than a non tough guy that might bring 24 points playing his minutes . if i had my way ide add another tough guy during these rebuild years as im sick of wings being pushed around and i dont want a mantha having to be the guy who stands up against the rats . kennys ' hes gotta be able to play ' outlook might work when your cup running , but now adays its more important to protect the newbies . ide move helm to dump cap and replace with a tough guy like kassian to give whiski some back up , helm 4 kassian . helm might be a good penalty killer , but kassians a good rat killer we need around this era
