Detroit's Biggest 120oz "Vizz-A-Nater" Deep Dish Pizza Challenge!!

American pro eater Randy Santel and Czech competitive eater ‪@SteelRodRadim‬ Dvořáček, each versus Vizzy's 14-Inch "Vizz-A-Nater" Deep Dish Pizza Challenge, hosted by Vizzy's Pizza Palace at Tattan Park in Westland, Michigan which is part of the greater Detroit, MI area of the USA!! After we all attempted the "End of the Road, Buster" BBQ Burgers Challenge hosted by Shakey's on the Road (food truck) in Caro, Michigan, we headed back down south to the Detroit area. Our Michigan friend ‪@NathanKleinEats‬ met back up with us again at Vizzy's Pizza Palace in Westland, MI so we could all attempt Vizzy's 14-Inch "Vizz-A-Nater" Deep Dish Pizza Challenge. Vizzy's Pizza Palace is mostly a takeout & delivery pizza business, with no dining area available, so we hosted this event nearby at Tattan Park, under one of the pavilions available. My Czech friend ‪@SteelRodRadim‬ and I went first and we each had just 45 minutes to feast on a 14" diameter Vizzy's-style deep dish pizza, with the toppings of our choosing. The challenge is based on weight, and the solo Vizz-A-Nater Pizza Challenge typically weighs around 6 pounds total. Just for fun, I had Paul, one of the owners, make mine the size of their team challenge (7-7.5 lbs) meant to be eaten by a team of 2 people within a 20 minute time limit. Radim's pizza ended up being a little bigger too. I ordered my pizza half "Chicken Greek" and half "Philly Cheesesteak." Radim ordered half "Vegetarian" and half "Meatball." We were each trying to finish within 45 minutes to win our $50 deep dish pizzas free plus sweet t-shirts and spots on Vizzy's Wall of Fame hanging up inside the restaurant. BIG thanks to Paul, Sheila, their son Mario, and everyone with Vizzy's Pizza Palace in Westland, Michigan for the wonderful food, drinks, desserts, and hospitality!! 40 years ago, I ate an 8 lb Chicago style deep dish pizza challenge. I finished in 59 minutes and 50 seconds with a 1 hour time limit. I could barely drive home and was in the bed and bathroom for 2 days. That was my 1st and last pizza challenge. In the past 10 years, I've only done spicy food challenges. About 1 per year. After each one, I say it's my last one... but this idiot seems forget saying that about a year later.
