This video brought back memories of the city I will always love! I moved away in October of 2012 and haven't been back, but seeing this made me remember the good ole days of going downtown and hanging out in Greektown, Hart Plaza and all the festivals we used to go to, driving around Belle Isle, etc. I can't believe how Highland Park looked while you drove down Woodward...I grew up going to the YWCA for summer camp and we used to grocery shop at the A&P in Highland Park. Thanks for taking me down memory lane!

I was an Uber down there for a few years & numerous times I felt I might encounter a dangerous situation, but I was fortunate for the most part to have only a couple bigger issues with passengers. Walked in Detroit in the middle of the night up on seven.Been to gas stations up in highland park at four in the morning waiting for a cab .Gotten in cars with people I don’t know who offered me a ride. Been to party in abandoned building all night with no security and I am from Scotland.Detroit is bad if you let it be ,look for trouble you will find it real quick.But for me some of the nicest people I have ever made friends with .LOVE MY DETROIT FAMILY ❤️

Same, i also went every night through several places, i never felt unsafe, and i mostly walked alone through the hoods with my pre-rolled ones. Met a lot of crazy guys, great people and had the best time ever! Getting hijacked to submerge and joined a lot of crazy parties, two insane weeks. I am from Germany and decided to move to Detroit. Love this city! 🥷

Detroit, Gary Indiana, East St. Louis, Illinois (where The Griswolds got lost in the "Vacation" movie) and Camden New Jersey were ALL Major manufacturing cities. when the jobs got Lost, they became Slums and War Zones. The Last Three are across Rivers (and States) from their Big Cities (Chicago, St. Louis, and Philadelphia-respectively.) There must be some type of Redlining at work there??

The Woodward dream cruise. But what I've noticed from traveling is down south they hook the cars up more and are more creative. Here in Michigan the more original and classic the better. And ofcourse the usual challenger/charger that you see everywhere else 😂😂😂
