Who’s to say he didn’t like Sainrastil? I bet he probably did. Sometimes the board doesn’t fall to get all the players you might want. I bet they like a TON of players that we’ll never know about.

@@raymondwhittenberg3873 right. They weren’t drafting him in the 1st rd and he was gone in the 2nd where they picked. I liked who they got. I think Arnold is gonna be a great cb, and Branch is already what Sanristill dreams to be.

As a BGSU alumni they’ve only been talking about Fannin there since he got to school. He’s been their offense for years. Also I hadn’t watched any of Stewart yet so I just watched them against Notre Dame and I can see there is a lot to like with both him and Scourton.

Times have indeed changed: It used to be that the Lions were almost guaranteed a Top-5 pick in the draft. It will be fun to pick at 32 after the giant Championship Parade!

So odd, not even hardly thought about the draft yet and usually as a lions fan we are considering where in the top 10 we will be picking. Oddly, we don't have a ton of needs, I guess that's a good thing. We've come a long way Ris. I agree, the trenches seem like the biggest needs, WR, and would love to get a good SAM LB

Barnes is pretty darn good, but is on an expiring contract and also hurt. We have Nowaske too, but one guy doesn’t make depth. There is room to look for another SAM linebacker. But I guess that also depends if our next DC still wants that position.

Right, we're not going to be able to keep everyone and Barnes has not been available yet this season. It may depend on what kind of contract but we need to start looking towards the draft to the future

I will admit that a Sam linebacker who can really rush the passer would be nice. I think we will likely get Barnes back, he can’t ask for too much after being hurt, and and our cap space looks good

That’s not entirely true. Barnes played games at the beginning of the year but knee injuries are normally long recoveries. I don’t think we need to jettison him just because of this. He doesn’t have a long injury history and has improved every year here. Not to mention the type of player he is is rather difficult to find.

You're right that we have to move past the college allegiances when drafting -- but I still cringe when I see Taylor Decker's Giant Ohio State tattoo ... but Decker is a heck of a player! GO LIONS!!!

You ain't finding a vet that you would be OK with for less than 10 million. With all the big contracts in 26 it would be smart to keep him let him leave after getting him some face time over the next 2 years to get a 3rd round comp pick back
