Dettifoss to Asbyrgi Run Iceland Waterfall trail run - One Day Adventure

This is a phenomenal run over varied and interesting terrain. It starts at the Selfoss/Dettifoss waterfall area and then finishes in Asbyrgi. This can certainly be done in a day if you are fit and comfortable on somewhat technical trails.

I have enjoyed your trail running videos very much. Havasupai, the 100's and 200's, Iceland, Hawaii, etc. They are very well produced and put us chair surfers on the scene, in the situation, minus some pain and discomfort you are not sharing. The end result - great entertainment and a strong, visceral motivation to join you out on the trail.

So, beyond the outsole wear issue you're having...impressions of the Olympus 1.5? I have a pair that I have a very mixed opinion of. I'm a fan of the zero-drop platform, and max cushion. Their fitment is adequate, but the heel cup is sub-par. I found the outsole wear to be good for the trails of the Great Lakes region where I run, but the traction is poor. They're also heavy, even for a max cushion trail shoe. If I hadn't gotten them wicked cheap (like 1/2 retail) my opinion would be further lowered. I like my #HokaStinsonATR more. I'm going to a demo trail day sponsored by #Altra soon. If they have Lone Peaks, or Superiors available I check their fit and try them. Otherwise I'm a bigger fan of Hoka and Brooks-thought I haven't run on Brooks trail shoes yet.

+Bruce Hodson I love the Altra Olympus shoes - except for the sole issues. I find Hokas always rub in the uppers - though I like thier soles. I'll take comfort in the upper with the Altras over the better soles.
