Doctors always have the choice to save the person life, but choose not to as soon as they too know they aint making money. Hospitals could of send the bill to healthcare instead of the patients and go for lawsuit against healthcare, but no they are not going to lose money suing their healthcare friends. Its profit over human lives. the doctors should know better than letting healthcare AI to make the decisions.

Total summary in 6 minutes. I'm from Canada, with universal health care since the 60s. Yes we have waiting list, yes I don't have a family doctor, but it's nothing like you guys. My son got involved in a serous work accident, with 25% of his body in 3rd degree burns. He needed grafts, lots of dressings for healing and lots of all kind of therapy, for 3 years. I have no idea how much he cost for the system. But after this PTSD, he went back to school and has 1 more year to become an engineer. He's 29 years old and has life before him to be a useful and productive member of society, and being able to pay back part of the cost of his treatments.

Thank you for this video. I had back surgery in my late 20s and it was delayed by six months. During that wait period with extreme pain my mental health tanked. I was suicidal and I stuck it out to raise my son. My back healed with physical therapy and 40 years later the mental health problems continue. I’m on medication and I go to therapy/ counseling weekly and just pay cash. I’m thankful that this situation lit a fire in our country and around the world! We need to work together because there’s more of us than our representatives who are pocketing heafty sums of money through insurance lobbying. I noticed that a rally type of march is scheduled for January 18th to walk through Washington DC but I’m not able to make this first one. I hope we can schedule one monthly. ❤

Thank you for this video, Dr. Deuk. Thank you for speaking up for all of us. The best health care happens when the decisions are kept between the patient and the doctor. The more detached the entity, the less informed and ethical the decision-making becomes. Whole reason I discarded my traditional health insurance for a health share plan which allows me to have more control over the doctors I see and the treatments I receive. It has been a literal life-saver.
@virginiamoss7045
@virginiamoss7045 20 сағат бұрын
What's a health share plan? I have 100% coverage with a traditional health plan, a Medicare supplemental policy plus Medicare part A and B. I could say you get what you pay for. I never pay anything (other than premiums), never see a bill, never a co-pay or co-insurance, even with a $300,000++ heart surgery. Nothing. No networks, no pre-authorizations, no limits. I pay $300 a month plus $174. I find this to be a huge bargain after paying for very expensive and crappy individual policies for 40 years because I was self-employed. It does come down to the fact that you get what you pay for. Now, corporate America refuses to pay a living wage so most folks can't afford much of anything, not even housing sometimes. There's a cancer eating up our country and it's the rich and powerful. It's not the Republicans or Democrats as all the politicians would like for us to think so they can keep us fighting with each other. It's the rich against the poor.

UnitedHealth paid $50 for a foot MRI and $158 for an ankle MRI. In your opinion, Dr. Deuk, would doctors be on board to change over to a single payer system in this country? I feel that the only reason that “We the people“ have health insurance companies who are running amok is because we ALLOW it! There needs to be a grassroots effort to protest like never before to get rid of the insurance companies and finally switch over to a single payer system. My fear is that doctors would not go for that, especially since the AMA lobbies in Washington against it, and it would prevent doctors from making untold amounts of money per year.

In November 2024, the majority of voters decided against it. While the left is variable on this issue, the right consistently and solidly supports deregulation. They want companies, including insurance companies, to do whatever they want. Their voters spoke in favor of that, and they're a bit quiet right about now, but come January, they'll get more of what they voted for. The right has spoken, and that's what they said they want, over and over again. And they won the election. The people have spoken.

If United Healthcare (UHC) were highly focused for the client and medical provider’s, Brian Thompson would likely be home with his family today. UHC is #11 on Wall Street. Brian would be home today if UHC was perhaps #19… Regardless of the clear atrocity of this “assassination” and my heart is with the family. But, setting the murder aside. People are pissed. Reminds me of an excellent movie “Network”. I won’t ruin the story, but it’s where the pendulum seems to be swinging with people. Insurers should be client serving non profits with restrictive compensation requirements. Wall Street has no interest in great health care. If I missed something, kindly share that. Best New Year to all you folks. We need to get back to the word folks. Please consider this movie, it’s like it was released last week.

The sign of a healthy society is when we care for the people in the society. This truth is the only reason humans have survived mass extinction is bc We cared for those in the tribe that were ill. Do you really think the tribe was like, um sorry, setting your broken bone is something we don’t do for members of our tribe bc it’s ‘out of network’. It just shows how absurd and inhumane the current profit- care system really is when you look back at human history

1st Peter 5:7 works for me, so that's my insurance/assurance plan.💫 Senator Elizabeth Warren. (KZbin) Channel. Hearing @ a UHC CEO in May 2024 video. She's now proposed a bill to Congress also about this issue. At least you might see what progress is being made via that source. Be well:)

Thank you for posting. in my view the public is still confused about what is "Single Payer Health insurance that is publicaly financed with a progressive tax. the key word is progressive tax. this is a tax that does not have a cap on your income ( like social security ) . In otherwords higher income earners will have to pay more into the system. this is fair . this is just.
