I just carried the hacked turret from the courtyard to namir and watched the turret finish him off

I just unloaded the grenade launcher at him as soon as the fight started, and destroyed him in seconds.

Typhoon. Hit him twice and he goes down like a hooker during fleet week.

I still had the rocket launcher from the FEMA facility and did basically the same thing. The grenade launcher was a backup but I think I only used it against Zhao's robots when I ran out of emp grenades and rockets to destroy them

You mean that room was there the WHOLE TIME?! These kind of game's always hiding something to keep you coming back to it...

Only in the Director's Cut, which reworked the boss fights to have indirect/stealth approaches like this one

yeah I know what you're saying don't worry this wasn't in the original deus ex. It's just like the Barrett fight where there's an additional room with guns

I've tried but the robots aren't attacking Namir. Weird.

Added in the Director's Cut, it wasn't in the original version of the game

In Director's Cut, you will be gifted a Grenade Launcher by Tong. It can take down Namir in 5-6 direct shots.

Or you could do what I did and pick up the rocket launcher back in the FEMA facility and carry that through the whole game specifically for boss fights. Took him down pretty quick and I still had ammo left for Zhao. Oddly enough when I did this fight he just kinda stood cloaked in one spot the whole time (Yelena did too actually, after running to the back of the room behind a console) so even when I retreated briefly because I got hit and needed to heal he was just still there to take more rockets to the face Note: I took out Yelena and Barrett with the stun gun because I was playing pacifist and their stun animations last longer than it takes to reload and shoot them again, so I had plenty of rockets (and some convenient gas grenades for Panchaea) just chilling in my inventory for basically the whole game which made those last two boss fights utterly laughable. Also managed to have just enough supplies and timing to ensure Malik was alive to pick up the scientists after this :)
