+THRILLHO It's because people, when given the choice, generally go half non-lethal stealth, half lethal stealth. Slip by, or shoot them with a suppressed handgun and leave them in a vent. Ultimately it doesn't change much, because you got from A to B and the meeting with the big bad will be the same. When you do, you miss out on a lot of guns, explosives and augmentations, and that's discouraging. Deus Ex wants you to do different things. The motivation now is that you will have different options and results. I will probably stealth assassinate my way around first time, but I'll go back and try out the shotgun and Typhoon, not just for fun, but because I want to see what changes in dialogue, story, and even scenery.

This game taps into the original with several nods throughout, including a master narrative shared through this trailer that is lacking in other games. For this a big hats off. The atmosphere of blade runner is strong here. This looks excellent. Touches of Half Life 2, 1st Dues Ex and continuity from Human Revolution. Finally, a story that brings back ethics and moral outcome at the human level.

I'm going to have to disagree with you. The Deus Ex Series is much more complex than the plot of this game. This and Human Revolution are merely prequels to one of the games regarded to be the best PC game of all time, Deus Ex (2000). If you take the time to play DE, DE: Invisible War, and the prequels (read about it!), you'll understand the depth of the Deus Ex world. Highly recommend it.

I actually came a little watching this. If it is as good as the others in the series this will be another benchmark title. The best first person shooter ever, maybe, maybe not, but the fact that it transcends the genre with superb adventure RPG elements that allow you to decide your strengths and weaknesses, and flawlessly blends infiltration/encryption minigames into it makes it in a league of its own in its own genre.
