Deutz dealers rip customers off they overcharge customers, I rebuilt a 2012tcd engine, dealer price over $10000 for parts, same OEM parts but not stamped Deutz made in same German factory cost less than $4000, i could have had a trip to Europe & bought my parts for the price Deutz charge, good tractors and engines let down by a company that needs to get into the real world.

Would a bad solenoid cause hard starting when cold? Starts fine warmed up. Also it struggles to rev to high rpm but only sometimes.

Would a failing fuel shut off solenoid not shut the engine off ? my gehl 6635 just started not shutting off right away but does shut off after a 5-10 seconds

Was quoted almost $700 for the shutdown solenoid from the dealer. Yeah.... Phoque that. $60 delivered for aftermarket. There's no way I'll be replacing 10 of these before this L20B is gone. It's a cinch to replace so it's not like another failure in a year or two is going to be a problem. I could see if you used your loader a lot and it was running for many many hours a day that the factory unit may be a better option but seriously. There's no way on this green earth you can remotely justify almost $700 before tax. Maybe the lad at the parts counter quoted me on the wrong part but I got him to check it twice more and it seemed he was on the same page as I was for this part.

Good evening chief please, I have a problem on a deutz engine 2 cylinder model F2M2011.while proceeding to the starting the injector pump does not discharge fuel, I disassembled these two pumps then mounted on another identical engine and then the pump discharges fuel.I tested my solenoid also on another engine it works well. I tested my solenoid also on another engine and it works well. But I have a problem with my rack by sliding it on one side without the presence of the pumps it gets stuck on one side now I don't know how to put this rack in order.and then I don't have the catalog of this engine I'm looking for your help to know this adjustment and other possible verification.

Well if we are able to identify part number coreeclty ourself it will make it easier to order the correct part. But deutz parts manual splits part number that doe not kake sense to a normal user. And i use cummins cat paccar kenworth. They all are easy to get to a specfic part number but deutz is always an issue what choice do we have ask vendors and install what they provide. Sometime aftermarket parts deutz need to work on there part numbering system to make it user frendly to up there sales.

as the mechanical part is bullet proof it be nice to see just the solinoid sold as a fix as it is the weak link. with a better design one could remove it leaving the mechanical part on engine.

i have a 2012. deutz the genuine deutz solinoid was sticking in the run position even when power was disconected. this isn't the reason for my coment. after buying a replacement and installing i had a runaway had to kill fuel to shut it down. what had happened was i installed it in the off position witch causes the arm to jam down on the rack fukn it. on the 2012 it must be installed in the run position. hook up power an turn on to run then install. unfortunately its to late for me but i hope you could investigate and post a video on the correct procedure. i couldn't find a thing on the water cooled 2012. the only thing was "its this easy just stick it in" works on the air cooled but on the 2012 is a expensive mistake. hopfully you can help others from repeating this disaster.
