This is absolutely true about stepping in with the desire to win vs. the fear of messing up. that desire puts fuel in you and you just automatically tap into the best version of yourself because now it's a challenge to yourself. Just stepping in with that mentality makes all the difference for me when I'm on the court..

> Be ok with failure or losing - let it fly and be free > Intrinsic motivation rather than external pressure or proving > Reframe things in a positive light > Love the process of improving and getting better (rather than results). Perfection is impossible > Emotion regulation - feel, label, detail, explore/peel back, accept emotions > Recognize we often think things are way worse than what they actually are - move on and look for the winning plays > Don’t focus on what other people think or say 🔑 > Embrace and have fun with difficult situations or challenges > Keep perspective - basketball isn’t life or death, understand a bad game doesn’t make you a bad person

Amazing content as always. That last point is so important. Losing sight of what makes you who are can easily take you down a road of depression. Remember you're more than just basketball when experiencing crushing failures and setbacks. Being adaptable is also a phenomenal tip. The nature of basketball is chaos. The only way to thrive in chaos is to be adaptable. It's why training should be varied and provide pressure.

Bro if you keep getting injured you might be out of balance. I’ve had all kinds of weird little injuries that never go away. Check out postural restoration and see if it resonates. All the best. 🫡

I’m 47 and getting back into basketball since 9th grade. I’m so far behind in my basketball knowledge and ability compared to these high schoolers at the gym 😂 my mindset has been exactly that, though. That I would always be behind. But like, I could bd really fucking good by the time I’m 50. Just have a winning attitude and a shirt memory. Like others have said, this applies to anything in life. We’re fuckin winning y’all.

Wow it’s kinda ironic man yesterday I was hooping and I had one of my worst days ever I had like 2 points in like 3 or 4 games with like 9 assist and 4 rebounds while playing great defense and great hustle each and every play I’m currently a freshman at Grand Valley State University and I’m hoping to play next year because so much stuff happened this year to set me back but I’m for sure going to keep putting in the work each and every day on the court and off the court and watching film I when watching your videos ever since I was in middle school seriously. Trying to make it to the league and be the best to do it🙏🏾 and I will

im having trouble driving left and getting to the basket in general, anyone got any tips ?
@y13.cАй бұрын
attack the space on the court. find the double gaps or any gaps fr, where the big man is, where there is space in general, and then use ur experience and feel for the game to attack ur defender and the second layer.
@y13.cАй бұрын
and if ur having trouble with beating ur man, first of all find the best technique/ running form to explode out of a move as quick as possible and smoothly, so u can get a step on a defender. FInd a couple of moves that work for u, their counters and stuff and then use them to attack the space. dont attack the top foot every single time, sometimes u do sometimes u dont remember that u are attacking space.
