The acid thingy is for him to stop being OP while not being tested. The most important and most vulnerable moments are when 682 is being tested, because that's when he is not under acid. Now the interesting thing is that he's almost invulnerable to everything, except the acid.

I think the acid was to stop him from growing. I heard that 682 was able to grow an infinite amount and when he took damage he would shrink so they put him in acid so he wouldn't grow.

This was something new we wanted to try, mainly because there were a lot of questions we wanted to answer about 682, the video making process, and future channel plans. Ultimately if you don't enjoy this kind of video we understand, we just like to offer a bit of insight behind the Channel, and Overall Variety. Think of this as a little editorial between BIG videos. Thanks friend, many channels do editorials and commentary to offer some extra knowledge that you would never know otherwise. Expect these kind of videos whenever a video has a lot of questions from our fans, and just between BIG videos. It takes a long time to make videos like Ask 682, Top 80 Scariest enemies, etc. These take about a day to make and it lets us answer some fan questions while also offering some behind the scene access.

Yeah i was researching about that. They couldn't port in that model, because it wasn't optimised for Blitz 3D engine, and wasn't compatible with the default mesh. We also never used it, because it didn't contain any phong materials (Shiny Matte Maps) The shiny matte maps were used on the Biollante model though, and it can be seen really clearly when it goes right up to the viewing window near the end of the video, before it breaks out.

I like all the videos that come out on this channel. I've been watching ever since the scariest Easter eggs video and I've enjoyed every video that I've seen before and after. This is my favorite channel on KZbin and I find the level of detail and work that goes into every one of your videos to be quite amazing. The acid in 682's containment chamber canonically is Hydrochloric acid, This acid bath serves to attack him as quickly as he can regenerate causing longterm pain and kind of sapping energy away to prevent him from escaping. I've always seen his acid as counter intuitive though. For a subject as horrifying and powerful as 682 I would personally submerge him within fluoroantimonic acid which is the strongest super acid known to man. An acid of this caliber seems far more logical for the job as it is entirely safe to pour lab grade hydrochloric acid over your hand and allowing it to stay for several seconds.
