They really do. Many people (including myself) made exhaustive feedback posts about combat-related issues back on release and 4 months later a majority of it has been addressed and many of the suggestions have been implemented almost one to one. They cut down on horde/swarm encounters, changed auto-hit ranged attacks into spool-ups or slower projectiles, they added a shield enemy and apparently reworked many of the boss fights. Same experience for the people who critiqued the hotbar and the lack of slots for consumables. We're getting pretty much the suggested tweaks. People didn't like the grappling hooks on release and now they're really fun. A few weeks ago people talked extensively about pets on the discord and would you look at what we're getting next week. They seem to really take feedback to heart and it's a very refreshing experience.

Same here. Bought and played it earlier and refunded, didnt like it. But still following and the improvements are fire. Soooo, yeah probably gonna give it a try again. Feels like a NMS kinda thing.

Getting rid of augments for crafting recipes is a big QoL change, having buffs from them is still nice and gives incentive to use them but the crafting recipe stuff was frustrating so thank you for this change! Really hope this game finds it's feet and takes off, the dev team behind it have been amazing and really listened to all of the feedback so they deserve some success for their hard work. Will definitely be jumping back in once this update goes live.

Yup, I couldn't agree more. I have restarted and deleted well advanced characters to make room for new playthroughs as I try different play styles and test different aspects of the game. A reset loses me nothing and encourages me to look at the game through fresh eyes even if there isn't a vast new content update.

Me too! Some great QoL's and some fun stuff to work on. Not super crazy about having to regrind. But being able to legacy what I do have is a close second option. I am going to miss all that I had amassed for my build. But that does not mean I won't enjoy the process again with these changes!

I tell my friends all the time that this game has very good potential, and already excellent graphics. It really has me lifting an eyebrow at it. I've told them the core mechanics will change for the better, and hope for magic and a vast array of things to do. I showed one the fireball part in a recent video and he bought it the next day. So, keep it going! Make as many realms you can, add more modifiers and dye crafting. Thanks for making this game, this is how you do Early Access. Honestly, the VOD updates are super appreciated, and as a gamer 30+ years old and 30+ years of gaming it's a smart choice this way.

Loved the game since the start and the love just keeps growing. My go to survival crafting game. Devs are awesome game is awesome and it just keeps getting better. Survival gamers this game is a must try and might be one of the most unique survival game you'll play. Also one of the most beautiful you'll come across in its genre for sure.

Honestly I'm glad about the progression reset, I think it's something that is necessary. The game was so confusing and difficult to explain to friends trying to jump in, this will give us all an opportunity to start again and hopefully have a significantly less messy start. Also thank god there's a glamor station, hopefully this will include dyes at some point in the near future.

100% agree on all points. And yes dyes would be amazing. Customization/personalization in games is such a big draw. I think games have been too restrictive with the amount of options available for players for far too long. I'm glad in general development are starting to realize that players want uniqueness.

I am so happy to hear all of this news! I am extremely excited to play and even wish I had some time off to just take a short Vaca and enjoy this longer. I havent enjoyed a dev update for a game in a long time, but you all are truely an amazing team that have been listening to feedback, making tough decisions for the betterment of the game and have been only making things better. While I can see some folks being upset about the reset, I think it is extremely nice that you would offer a "Legacy" option as I cant think of a game in recent that would even do that much. Rather they would just do the reset and say "Well... Sorry?". But TBH Ive been planning on making a new toon and experiencing my favorite game for a second time. Love y'all, keep being awesome!!!

Removing augments form workbench is amazing... it was such a headache to make a nice looking crafting room with all augments, close to chests. Also build limit increase is a big win for me as well as the modification to the hotbar. 🖤

Great update all around. I've been meaning to put more hours into Nightingale, however it's kind of a blessing in disguise due to the progression reset. From the dozen or so hours I have played, Nightingale impresses me in so many ways. It's a really unique game and sets itself apart from other survival crafting games. The mechanics like wet status, well-lit structures, and use of umbrella to protect the player against the elements feel so immersive. Never played a game where the player home feels so cozy. The art direction and quality of art assets is just incredible too

Great work so far, thanks All! I wouldn't sweat the progression reset too much. When you have a game like this, I find that it is not so much a pain to start fresh again and actually prefer to do that randomly sometimes. I would hope a good majority of Nightingale fans would feel the same. The journey is far more important and amazing, than keeping what you have from a previous version. Amazing stuff! Thanks again!

I am so excited about this update. While I am sad I will have to start off fresh, the changes being made really will help the overall longevity of the game. I love the realm card effects, especially the Trickster card, which I always seem to only find one or two when exploring. I haven't quite gotten my gear high enough to mine the materials to make more but I think that is actually a good thing or I would have it in so many realms lol. I also love that we will be able to move our respite! There are so many times where I am exploring and really love the look of a realm....making me want to move my whole home there. Overall I absolutely am loving this game and I am excited for what is next! (Also excited to see what the final release will be like cause I have been talking this up to all my gamer friends) Amazing work to the whole team!

I bought this game when it first came out and i played for a bit but it stilled needed time to cook, this update looks like it's really taking things in the right direction and I might want to spend a few more hours in it now. I'm more excited for the future of this game now too, and i hope you guys do a roadmap or something like that soon so we can see where you are in the development and what you have planned. I know it's fun to reveal things when they are ready but with long form development cycles like survival games have these days, it's nice to see where the game is headed and be able to comment suggestions or preferences about those things before they are set in stone.

I hope there will be a greater variety in realms/ realm cards for example with weather, light level, bioms or sth mysterious/fantasy themed and more animals, each card combination should give you a new adventure to experience. Also more buildings which are in its own structure procedural generated

I am really looking forward to playing this updated version. I did enjoy it before, but thought that the realms looked too much alike etc. I have followed this game for quite a while and from being a bit disappointed when it was first released, I can now see it growing it to something like the game I was hoping for. You have to remember that this is still in early access. Things might get better and some things might not turn out the way you hoped, but that is the charm with playing an early access game. I think I will be recording some gameplay for my channel tomorrow. Keep up the goog work. :-)

I can't wait! Overall i love the idea of this game, the art style, the realms and so on. Only thing i felt lost with was the campaign and progression, so i am crossing my fingers this will now be the game i was wanting! I also didn't build much due hearing about those limits so it's nice to know i can now build without worrying too much about running into a limit too soon, i hear if you turn on advanced options you can see how close you are to the limits.

7:54 was the first actually cute characater I've seen in this game haha. Btw really digging these changes...I think Enshrouded and Palworld showed players how much more fun and rewarding it is to explore a handcrafted world so I'm looking forward to it :)
