One of the crises we are facing in the world today is the fact that so few people learned these skills over the past few decades with both parents having to work full time

This type of thing should be taught at schools from a young age, nobody ever asks or teaches about feelings, I had a severe head injury at 4 suffered lots of nose bleeds and temper tantrums after and became isolated and aggressive growing up leading to more head injuries, I’ve lived my life void of positive feelings and now I’m 43 and completely dead inside, it only dawned on me I wasn’t feeling ‘Love’ about 8 years ago, just paid the word lip service, horrific it’s like an itch I can’t scratch

I am glad that I watched this video. I will be trying some of these out tomorrow with my class. “ You seem angry… you can handle this.”

I really appreciate the way that she uses real-life examples and generally avoids flowery terms. She says exactly what she means and doesn’t make it sound Loren appealing or less, just facts from her experiences.

Thank you!! I am getting started as soon as tomorrow!! I will use this conscious discipline with my 5 year old daughter as well as my 72 year old father (whom recently moved in). It has been SO very stressful. And easy to point the finger about the new changes in our lives. I feel i finally have a guide that lets ALL keep their power and dignity. I look forward to practicing this way of thinking. Thank you, thank you!!

I learned that I already do this and didn't know that I have been offering empathy.

When is it too late to learn these things? I am 19 and lacking empathy in sociopathic and I want to change.
