When talking about vertical jump or sprinting, would the Glute Ham Raise yield any benefits?

Overtime athletes, I know how to increase accelerating speed, with plyometrics isn’t it? But is it possible to increase top end speed so I can reach 21 mph?

Shouldn’t soccer athletes avoid heavy lifts ? Do they make you less agile and slower ? But some players like Mohamed Salah built a lot of muscle. So what’s your take on that?

I’ve been lifting for MMA for 15 years. But here are some things I’ve learned when training for sport, it all ties together: 1- In you’re particular case, you’re a soccer player. You’re not a power lifter. You’re not a body builder. You’re not a strongman. Don’t train like one. 2- The weight on the bar doesn’t matter. Your on field performance matters. 3- If you can afford to gain a few pounds feel free to push it. If not, make sure you leave 2-4 reps in the tank. You will get the benefits from the exercise with out breaking down the muscle to a point where you make huge gains. As I said I train MMA. I fight at 170, bench 350, and throw 5 punches in about 1 second. Check channel if you doubt. If you feel like this helped i could do a vid on exercises for soccer players. #Givethismanashot

@Swolbraham Lincoln what Kurtis said is very true, it matters how you train, and apply your training to your game. Plenty of muscular guys are fast (salah is not a good example in terms of bulk, because he is small and actually fairly regular physique for a footballer) Lewa and Cristiano Ronaldo are great examples. They started from very skinny body types and ended up as peak physical percection. Halland and Mbappe are also putting on some serious weight. So, you can train like a Bayern Munich or Premier league footballer for mass, but if you have bad technique, a muscular beast like Adama Traore will always be faster
