Developing the New Town - Ged Parker talks about Washington, UK

On 24th July 1964, the British government designated Washington a new town.
Ged Parker is Chair of Washington History Society and it's fair to say he has the inside story, as he was part of Washington Development Corporation in the 1980s. He outlines the development of the new town and the distinctive factors involved in this significant piece of urban planning.
