I feel like Devi was confused about Paxton cause she was unhealthy obsessed with him since they were kids, she never knew the actual Paxton until season 2, the show literally put a NEON card on our faces saying "Devi likes Paxton appearence literally just for that", and even tho it seems that now she likes him for the real him too, their relationship it's more like a fantasy that she pictured in her head, without saying that sometimes it looks like a bromance, he really likes her, but doesn't look like she feels the same, when it came to choose between teaching Paxton or being close to Ben, she choose Ben, she had little panic attacks every time she saw Aneesa and Ben, cause she was afraid of never getting him back, she never acted that way about Paxton, it's like she can't be just friends with Ben, cause every single thing makes her remember how they used to be around each other, but when she got closer to Paxton after the cheating she wasn't interested in a possible romantic relationship, they looked like real good friends, that was literally what she wanted to be that time, he was the one that felt like that was weird, she didn't, different than when she was close to Ben, the only thing she could think about was getting him back

I agree with you Paxton could attract Devi a lot but she really fell in love with Ben and can't see Ben as a friend she sees him as something else and I feel like she would have a good friendship with Paxton and even though this season is over with Paxton she won't be able to hide what he feels for Ben and it is later seen that Ben is going to fight for Devi

exactly!! devi couldnt stand seeing ben and aneesa together and literally spent the whole 24 hr relay keeping them apart, and even admitted to dr ryan that “i shouldve chose ben, i just got greedy” and its obvious ben doesnt like aneesa as much as he thought either, theres a point where he’s telling devi he likes aneesa, but the hesitation and stammering and the way he looks at devi is a dead giveaway he indeed does still have feelings for devi too, and how he makes his way to comfort her after paxton refused to go to the dance with her, and honestly i have a feeling season 3 is going to be ben trying to drive paxton and devi apart, but until then im honestly satisfied with either paxton and devi together or ben and devi, since after watching season 2 im seeing paxton in a whole new light lmao also the fact that he never actually asked aneesa to the dance, he mightve possibly been trying to ask devi but when aneesa asked first he said yes

Yeah I totally agree! If Devi was getting close to Ben in the way she did with Paxton this season, she would be freaking out and would basically do anything to turn their casual hangout into **much more**. When tutoring Paxton, she immediately made their relationship into a friend dynamic, deeming herself as his pushy Indian mom and it was Paxton who noted that it was weird since they used to hook up. Also it was ultimately Paxton who made the first move and Devi seemed more surprised than excited (sure she liked it bc it was an opportunity to hook up with a physically attractive person but she definitely does not connect with him in the way she does with Ben).

Team ben makes more sense all the way. beneath all that so called hatred n nemesis vibe, their chemistry is quite clear. He challenges her, Paxton also has a case because he has become a better person coz of her and the appreciation has come in form of feelings but there is no chemistry just a girl dating her sexy dream boy. And how they handle the public eye of the school is gonna be interesting. But both are interesting stories and am sure its not over yet between those three. I have like multiple comments on multiple Bevi videos explaining this in depth but my general pov is that Aneesa is gonna drop Ben after understanding that he wasn't ready to truly move on from Devi and that she deserves better, and I also think that part of Ben's appeal to Aneesa is all the similarities between her and Devi (Looks, religion, etc. ) On another NHIE point, it seems like Daxton would be nonexistent without Rebecca (WE STAN THE QUEEN)

In my opinion and this is based on my experience. Paxton is the crush love that one has that happens quickly or not at all. He’s the what if? But Ben is the guy you want for life because he’s honest,kind,handsome,attractive and SMART! He challenges Devi to be her best self and she makes him want to be better as well. She hurt him deep by making him a second option then GOING AFTER PAXTON! Thing is Ben now is with Aneesa whose great and complex but sadly too laid back for Ben and we saw a glimpse of that when he lost to Paxton’s team in the great gatsby trial. I do love him and Devi and want them to be together because their bond is deeper.

They’ll keep challenging one another but also can be vulnerable like when Ben said “when are you gonna realize you’re too good for that dick.” He cares for her deeply. Paxton made Devi feel like she wasn’t enough and she has him on a pedestal. When you have someone on a pedestal and you see them is so unattainable to you you won’t feel secure even when you have them because you’ll think they’ll always find someone better and that insecurity can fester and change you.

@@Alyssa-if7xj I get that but what I think the writers are trying to convey. My opinion is that Paxton is this unattainable possibility. He’s the person that got away so to speak. The extremely attractive person who you liked but never got to date. Ben is the guy you’d want to date later in life whose supporting you and your goals. Who pushes you to do the right thing when or if you are in the wrong. He’s the all in and caring partner people want at the end of a hard day. So for Devi it isn’t an easy choice because Paxton is there everytime she fell in a pool or cried but Ben was there to mend important relationships for her and guide her to better choices. It’s why I prefer Ben to Paxton but I do like Paxton..
