I once had Devil Kings on PS2, until I found out had this game's original title was Sengoku Basara. The US version removed reference of Sengoku Era and had number of characters into NPCs.

I think they were plan to leave the 4 playble characters they removed from the original game but for some reason they decide not to. A long time ago when I have this game I checked the sound files of every character in this game and I noticed there's some quotes for Yoshihiro/Zaan not used in the game like for example "Don't dig my grave yet" I think this one play only if you play as him and when he is about to die..

I mean I bet there's a Sengoku Basara game. I know there is for ps3. But nowadays they'd actually correct it to the original context. I love the campy weirdness of this version. Takes me back to the days I'd go over to this guys house after school just hanging out while he played this, God Hand and Okami. Those were simpler times. *sigh*
